MMA mastery combo

What is a better combo for a mma fighter?

Spartan legacy
Spartan Muay Thai mastery
Legacy Muay Thai mastery

Personally I’d say Legacy and MTMX, but I’m sure most people would put Spartan instead of Legacy.

Can you elaborate why?

Because Spartan is a very popular sub for people who exercise but for me personally, the results weren’t crazy. I’m definitely in the minority for this however, and it probably has something to do with my mental fortitude during exercise which has always been very high.

It is natural for me to push through pain, exhaustion and suffering to get through a workout but the same cannot be said for most people. Since Spartan focuses on that mental aspect more than anything, it significantly boosts exercise performance for most people who don’t have the ability that I do to bite down and ā€œeat shitā€.

So legacy is more physical than Spartan?

No, it’s just more focused on a specific fighting scenario instead of Spartan, which has a more general use case.

So legacy is like Spartan but more focused on fighting?

Muay Thai Mastery X sales page does mention that it is ā€œoptimized to give competitive Thai fighters and mixed martial artists the ultimate edge needed to dominate in the ring and throughout their martial arts career.ā€

So for starters, this is a good enough title to stack with 2 other titles that are focused on other goals (like for example WANTED for seduction and Stark for career).

I’d say so, with less physical shifting compared to Spartan.

But I agree with @Lion, MTMX is by far the best out of the 3 and if you had to run 1, it should be that one.

Ok I will do legacy and muay thai thanks

@bombayduck - I don’t know if it is just me but sometimes I do feel bored when a stack is focused solely on one goal and I miss building other parts of my life like creativity and having some fun alongside that goal.

But of course if one is driven and wants to focus on building a their Muay Thai fighting skills for a while, they could go with Legacy + Spartan + MTMX and go all in.

Judging by the stacks of most people on this site, it’s definitely not just you.

I personally go for the ERB principle with my subs, focusing on a skill for expansion, an archetype for grounding and a third sub to bring balance to the whole stack (a fitness sub typically). Personally find it to be the most thorough approach, though focusing on tackling specific issues at a time is a great approach as well (though more typical of newcomers than anyone else).

My ultimate plan is ending with 3 customs
One for personality dominance etc - emperor the commander
One for being a genius famous billionaire - stark and true sell
And one for being absolute unit (I want to compete) - legacy Muay Thai

Awesome plan, @Orel. All the best!

EDIT: am guessing you will make a custom of Legacy and MTMX Cores after running their main store titles for a while.

Yes it’s already planned, with modules like berserker thunder and blink, and also eagle eye and all seeing for mental skills.

I’ve got a fighting custom that could help you out with, in terms of designing your own. Currently on my phone so too much work to link it, but if you check my ā€˜Welcome to the Dark’ journal there should be a post with the modules listed there.

Likewise, you could always PM me for advice on a fighting custom, as I’ve had 2 made in the past 3 months.
