One thing I like about fitness is that itās a double whammy because it makes your sex life better as well, lol.
More stamina, more energy, better mood, better well-being, erections, better body (a healthy body for sure is key to awesome sex), more testosterone, more vitality, etc
Beware that Taurine has GABAergic effects, meaning it can make you feel very calm and relaxed. Sort of like an anti anxiety type agent.
Depending on your individual neurochemistry, it could make you tired, anhedonic, or just too chilled out for your workouts. (Especially since you donāt consume caffeine). In that case just lower your dose pre workout and take the remaining amount before bed.
Today I took 3g before workout and I definitely noticed that calm/relax effect. But in the workout I was really aggressive at the weights. I guess Iām safe for now but maybe it builds up over time or something. So far in my supplement stack I havenāt seen any side effects, just all benefits. Either way, if I start seeing any unwanted/side effects of anything then I will just drop it hahaha
I have tried 1g of L-Citrulline and the effects are too weak, lol. When I take 1g of Taurine, it feels like in my body/mind/intuition that Iām not getting the full potential so I upped it to 2g minimum lol.
On 1g of Taurine, the calm/relax effect is not as pronounced to me when compared to 2-3g.
At night like 90 minutes before bed or rather 30 min?
I just fear if I take it before bed and accidentally gives me energy and I could not fall asleep.
Basically, the scientists made the rats feel sad and depressed by exposing them to stressful situations.
Then, they gave some of them Taurine before the exposure.
The rats who had Taurine were less likely to feel sad and anxious and they were better at remembering things. The rats felt better and were less depressed. Taurine also helped to balance the levels of some important chemicals in the rats brains, which can be out of balance in people with depression. It made some chemicals that were too low, higher and it made some chemicals that were too high, lower.
They concluded that Taurine might help with depression by regulating systems in the brain and helping new brain cells to grow.
This is a little contradictory to the idea that Taurine can make you anhedonic which is a symptom of depression. That comes from imbalance, not balance.
My intuitive experience with Taurine is that it improves my mood and makes me less depressive. Dopamine is slightly higher.
Taurine is an amino acid that occurs naturally within the body, I donāt think it can throw you off too much.
Thereās no study that suggests that Taurine can cause anhedonia or other negative effects on mood. There are actually only studies that it suggest it has antidepressant effects.
Some studies even suggest that it has neuroprotective effects and could potentially be used as a therapeutic agent for neurological disorders.
Strange⦠maybe the effect is dose dependent. Iāve never experienced an energy boost from taurine. Itās always acted as calming agent to me. Just experiment and see what works for you
Of course, the effect is dose dependent. You are right about the anti depressant effects of taurine it does boost oneās mood while promoting a sense of relaxation.
Perhaps anhedonia is the wrong word. Anything thatās gabaergic can potentially create a demotivating sort of effect in the user. Thatās all Iām saying. Maybe itās not strong enough to induce that demotivating effect on you.
But unlike you, many people already have damaged brains from too much social media, porn, stimulants etc. So already having low baseline dopamine, to introduce an agent with Gabaergic properties could cause problems.
This is why many people take pre workouts and other forms of caffeine before training. Being too relaxed isnāt conducive to your performance in the gym. The gym is the place to be aggressive, to get hyped up, too really push for those extra reps and PRās. Anything that counteracts Epinephrine, Norepinephine and dopamine isnāt ideal before a workout.
If it works for you keep doing it. I personally do 2g first thing in the morning and 2 grams in the afternoon. I donāt consume caffeine past 1:30pm, I train in the evenings and have no issues with motivation.
Just beware that it potentiates other gabaergic supplements and substances. Alcohol, benzoās, l theanine, magnolia bark, stuff like that. Hell even chamomile tea, makes that stuff more potent for me.
Now that I have my diet, workouts, fitness and supplementation in order⦠Iām diverting my focus, lol.
I was reading on the internet about someone who was taking Zinc supplements and experienced Zinc toxicity.
Itās so dumb, lol.
When you supplement, it has to be health driven. It has to be a self-care or self-improvement manifestation of your subconscious mind from a place of self-love. That way it becomes impossible to screw yourself over or manifest an unwanted health problem or side-effect from the supplementation. Itās a flow state.
If you have a high flow state and are driven by health (subconsciously) then you will never screw yourself over. Everything will align perfectly with you. Youāre basically guided to what is optimal for you and what works best with your neurochemistry, hormones, or body. In other words, self-sabotaging your health doesnāt exist.
Thatās the difference between people who work with their subconscious mind (listening to subliminals, doing meditation etc even affirmations or whatever) versus people who are just following trends and taking random shit because they āheardā itās good, read an article or watched a video (easily indoctrinated).
Basically, Iām saying⦠start with the subconscious mind and then everything else falls into place.
I have a custom blueprint that I need to glance over before ordering and think about a little more, but not going to do that on here or start writing about it because too much energy and time consuming.
The custom has now replaced side goal of fitness, since fitness is figured out for now (I finalized my workout routine and added grape seed extract to my supplement stack lol).
After custom is ordered, Iāll go back to QoLing fitness/health.
As for main goal
Nothing to talk about
Iāll probably be back with my custom and some wealth updates
Manifesting really works. At the end of last month I got hired for a contractor job, made an easy 5k bonus adding onto what I already make. Great way to start the month. Has nothing to with business, just good olā getting your hands dirty and knowing industrial trade. I donāt have a Red Seal but I know my shit, lmao. I always look for these opportunities on the side. Last one was in January, but in the span of 2 weeks Iāve landed 2. Only downside is that I have to take personal time out for it and for a few days I donāt really get optimal sleep. Whatever, itās worth it though. This stuff adds on to my yearly income. I actually hate trades work though. I went to school for it and hated it.
Lowers sex drive as that guy mentioned but itās even worse than that. It lowers DHT and testosterone.
The main bioactive compound in Black Seed Oil, known as thymoquinone - is anti-androgenic. It inhibits 5-alpha reductase.
Thereās also a study where it significantly lowered testosterone and DHT levels in male rats, lol.
Now I know why my subconscious mind wonāt let me take or consider shit⦠itās protecting me from garbage that will screw me over. LMAO.
The popularity of it has shot up like crazy in the past 5 years and itās growing. Some people are even religious about it. Just goes to show that you should never follow trends or what someone else says. Always do your own research. Sheeps get destroyed, hahahaha
Taurine is great so far. I am taking 1g in the morning and have similar benefits to Ashwagandha regarding my stuttering and stress level.
Have a cheap Huawei wrist tracking device and it also tells me my stress level.
