Main Idea Thread - The NEW R.I.C.H. Trader (formerly R.I.C.H. Crypto)

I follow the industry leaders and learn from them and am surrounded by some folks who are really big earners. Plus I think I have always had affinity towards this style of making money. I am a great analyst but I excel at intuitive discernment so that helps a lot.

But I think anyone can copy what I do if I teach them.

Fundamentals tell you what to buy, technicals are the when.
You can exit in layers based upon technical levels.

So… more ideas. I agree that an adapted Art of War approach could be extremely useful. And some features from Godlike Masculinity would also help a trader develop real self-mastery — knowing themselves deeply enough to win.
That also includes being honest about their own emotional patterns and turning them into advantages instead of losses, and sticking to the strategy that works for them, even when everyone else is doing something different.

Also, incorporating a Multi-Level SHIELD Against External Influence would be extremely valuable. This layer would protect the trader from negative comments, “bad luck” predictions, envy, subtle discouragement, criticism of the profession, and any form of contamination coming from other people’s fear, disbelief, or reactions to financial success and to the trading profession itself. It would block these influences from entering the trader’s subconscious or energetic field — regardless of the source (family, friends, coworkers, or strangers).

The idea is to ensure the trader remains fully unaffected by any external noise.

From the art of war (click the link to check out the features), the art of war is perfect for trading:

Know Yourself, Know Victory

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.”

The Art of the Strategic Strike

“He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.”

Raw Adaptability
“Just as water retains no constant shape, so in warfare, there are no constant conditions.”

The Power of Preparation
“Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.”

Choosing Your Battles
“He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.”

Mastering Emotional Distance
“He who is prudent and lies in wait for an enemy who is not, will be victorious.”

The Strength of Unity
“In unity, there is strength.”

Destroying the Enemy Within
“Know thy self, know thy enemy.”

Seeing the Whole Strategic Map
“Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory, but tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.”

Using Disadvantage as Advantage
“In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity.”

Sustained Presence
“In sustained presence lies the seed of victory.”

Alignment Before Dominance
“When self is aligned, true power emerges.”

The Wisdom of the Beginning
“Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory, but tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.”

Almost all of the features in AoW can be applied to trading and are very powerful. This scripting should almost be adapted in it’s entirety to trading the financial markets @SaintSovereign

Very curious to see what you guys did for Rich Trader  How are the testers doing?

EDIT : @Akin Showing this here as my understanding is that AoW’s scripting is all encompassing, and I feel a lot of it is applied toward social dynamics in it’s scripting. Even if the script is amazing and I’ve felt great effects when trading, it would be even more potent and focused.

@Akin I absolutely agree with you. This would be powerful for a trader. I’m sticking with my current stack for at least one more month, possibly two, but I just might add AOW to my next stack with GLM. I already decided on GLM for my next stack, but adding AOW could prove to be very powerful indeed.

Thank you for your post.

I think this can of mental paradigm could also contribute to success with trading not just general life success.

You again these movies I shared in the past are great inspirations for traders among us. https://youtu.be/vgqG3ITMv1Q?si=lf3VRvLbFMTaBF4U

The BIG short is one of them.

And of course… the Margin Call…

This scene is so good haha

@Adi That is an excellent scene, although I say that with many scenes in this movie :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I agree, John Tuld’s (Jeremy Iron) attitude and overall demeanor is a very good one to have in the financial world.

Another very good scene in this movie is this one

I do have this way of thinking about trading firmly ingrained into my subconscious though.

I’m going to have to watch this movie again. It has been a while and it truly is one of my favorites.

I love Jeremy Irons.
He was born for this role.
His speech in this scene wants me to join his company and even wear one of those boring stiff suits lmao.

@SaintSovereign Just to add something I’d really like to see if possible:
Whilst I do trading, I also do other activities, such as investing, online business, property, the lottery, whatever

Purely in terms of the ‘manifesting wealth’ scripting, I’d like RICH Trader to have scripting to manifest wealth, fortuitous serendipity, wins and so on from ANY source, not only trading.

I don’t want to feel I have to also run RICH (the upcoming update of the original title) as well as RICH Trader, or have to make a choice between the two.

I appreciate this is just my perspective and wish, but you know, just sharing it and hope it might be taken on board

I’m fine with a “windfall manifestation” to put more money to work into the market, and getting higher absolute returns as a result.

But general purpose-manifestation for “wealth stuff” seems separate from the main goal of this sub: Wealth through trading.

@Layman (edit: Ignore my original version where I said run Genesis:Mogul for manifesting wealth through windfalls. I realized that even though it’s open ended, it actually is for building wealth in a stable and consistent manner)

I concur with @Bobby, Rich:Trader should be specifically for building wealth through trading. One could have windfalls through trading and having scripting to remove any blocks would be nice as long as the focus is on trading. I also really like the idea of fortuitous serendipity, wins, etc. but again, in the context of trading.

@JCDenton I agree, Jeremy was perfect in that role. But I still liked his “boring stiff suits” in the movie. :sunglasses:

Trading should be approached as operating a growing enterprise, not expressing personal skill or emotion. The trader’s role is to manage systems, allocate risk, and guide long-term growth—not to seek self-validation from individual outcomes.

Are there any continuously/longer term successful traders which are famous/known?

Most successful people who beat the s&p500 over longer term are not traders but investors.

Yes there are.

But the higher up the food-chain you’re gonna just be looking at amazingly smart guys taking good decisions in their “field of expertise”, rather than “traders” or “investors”. They adapt per their circumstances, and the environments. If you read about Buffett you’ll see how much he changed his strategy throughout the years. Yes he learned from Graham and followed Graham at first, but he’s no longer doing what Graham did.

The Markets Wizard series is the answer to your question. You’ll find a range of examples of both traders, and investors that have made big money and beaten the market.

Stan Druckenmiller, George Soros are macro-traders. Druckenmiller’s Duquesne CM did 30%/yr from 1981 to 2010. He now manages his own money and (based on interviews) outperforms that now.
George Soros did 20% over 4 decades
Jesse Livermore** Supposedly made 100million during the crash in 1929. He made multiple fortunes and lost it all a few years later.
Jim Simons built an black box model that has from 1990 generated over 60%/yr over 30years. - It is short-term focused.

There are examples of retail traders going from $5000 to 100m+ in less than 10years.

Jerry seems more like a gambler. The thing about a good trader is to know when not to trade. I also made a 10x of my account within less than a month, then circumstances changed, my method was not working and I was revenge trading, overconfident and not patient enough/too blind to see that my trading system doesn’t work in that phase of the market.

George Soros also came to my mind with the 1992 attack against the pound. Horrible person but probably worth finding out how he made his fortune.
