Main Idea Thread - Quintessence Pro (Potential Service)

If the copy of future subs is structured like the new Mind’s Eye’s an interesting option could be to opt out of certain Main Features. Not sure if this could always be implemented as easy as for ASBR without fame, but it would be a great way to streamline customs.

I’m not a regular poster on this forum, or any forum for that matter, it’s not who I am.

The discounts for those that post often are fair, as they are actively assisting in the progression of the subs we use here.

However, in this instance, in my opinion, it would be rather unfair to gate keep people like myself (and I’m sure it’s more than just me) loyal customers, who have been around since the set and forget days, who read the forum regularly and actually pay attention and follow what you and fire recommend.

I think a subliminal club knowledge quiz would be a decent way to test people, if you’re looking for people that are competent. Possibly checking support tickets for past behaviours…but that might be more work you don’t need.

This is all ifs and maybes right now I know, and you both usually come up with something that’s fair for everyone, just thought I’d add my piece to it.

Well, I think this is part of the point. People who have actively posted their experiences on here are assisting in the development of SC products. So this can be seen partly as a reward for those that are actively contributing to SubClub. Also, by giving them access to more advanced or experimental products, they know they’ll get useful feedback, and they can monitor the effects of those titles via journals. What’s the point in giving an experimental product to someone who doesn’t journal?

I do get your concern, but I also think some amount of effort to contribute should be required by members to get access to more advanced titles, otherwise these titles will also need to be nerfed to suit the general public.

Well, I respectfully disagree, and will leave it at that.

Especially once name embedded Majors are a thing, and each major title will have to be individually compiled, this would be an interesting feature to add.
Simply choose the features you want from a major title and get it streamlined to your needs.
You want a name embedded Minds Eye without Raikov and Mind palace? Just remove the checks :white_check_mark::fast_forward::ballot_box_with_check: and you have your own special edition with less content to process.

This is indeed a fair point. It’s what the Quintessence Pro Platform is for: those who want to experiment and report back.

But, we also don’t want to “gatekeep” too much, hence why we’re outsourcing ideas to the customers. So, let’s not get too caught up on the eligibility part, since as @tintin mentioned, it’s going to be fair. Let’s focus more on what you want to see on the platform a bit. Then we’ll look at eligibility, since what’s going on Q-Pro will be linked to it’s actual capabilities.

I think this should be considered.

While post count can be an important metric, there are people who have posted very insightful and introspect posts, demonstrating social awareness, self-awareness, and maturity. It’s more and quantity, and more than quality; it’s a matter of what that quality consists of.

I think there is a difference between gatekeeping, contrasted with wanting to make sure only responsible individuals get advanced, complicated, or experimental products.

I’m not sure what options you had in mind.

I will need to meditate on this.

One idea on how to change the metric:

Post count alone does not say much since as many have said, a lot of posts are simply fun comments and small talk.

However, most fun and small talk comments are rather short.

So make only posts count that are longer than a certain amount of words.
Make only lengthier posts count.

That way you automatically filter out most of the fun and small talk comments.

And then, for those posts that do count because they are lenghty enough, run the “likes per post” metric as an indicator of quality content.

A simple way to 1. filter out the noice posts and then 2. see what quality the non-noice posts by someone actually have.

Quizes don’t work in the Age of ChatGPT anymore though…

But I agree, that customer purchase loyalty should be a factor also to be co-considered in the evaluation process somehow.

Maybe something like:

Amount of Titles Purchased * Post Count * Days Visited the Forum * Likes Received = Metric Number

@tintin and @bujin are highlighting two separate yet legitimate considerations.

User Competence - which would be more like earning a license to drive automobiles (or a special license to drive even experimental automobiles).

User Contributions - this one is more similar to paying taxes or fees to maintain the quality of the roads for ALL automobiles.

One does not cancel the other. More a question of which one (or ones) are prioritized in a given situation.

Love it!

I don’t know if this is possible or how it is scripted, but conceptually this could converge great with spinoff modules. And Synergys! (Especially if you expand the 2-layer-approach of Synergy and Focus.)

This would be the ultimate flexibility. (and the sheer amount of options would make it perfect for Q Pro.)

To bring it together, you would probably need a dropdown menu for each Synergy and each core.

E. g. for a single risk taking module spinoff from Daredevil:

:ballot_box_with_check: DAREDEVIL
:ballot_box_with_check:Captivating Storyteller
:ballot_box_with_check:Voice Mastery
:white_check_mark: No Risk, No Fun!
:ballot_box_with_check: Emotional Connection
:ballot_box_with_check: Empower Others

For a full Daredevil core with FOCUS on emotional connection (1 core + 1 module):

:white_check_mark: DAREDEVIL
:ballot_box_with_check:Captivating Storyteller
:ballot_box_with_check:Voice Mastery
:ballot_box_with_check:No Risk, No Fun!
:white_check_mark: Emotional Connection
:ballot_box_with_check: Empower Others

Thinking about this, it would also be an interesting way to test which modules should land in the Q main store and get their own artwork and description judging by how often they are purchased and used. (For Q Pro artwork and more description are IMO not necessary.)

This would (only) work great with the new style of copy.

And if the minimum for the number of modules could be dropped you could build pretty much anything.

Maybe “+” and “-” would be better than a simple checkbox for the constituent modules. I suspect you will have scripting in cores that’s not working as a module on its own.

So a checkbox for the core or Synergy and +/- for all constituents would cover all variations.

E. g. full DAREDEVIL core without Voice Mastery and with an extra FOCUS on risk taking:

:white_check_mark: DAREDEVIL
→ Captivating Storyteller
- Voice Mastery
+ No Risk, No Fun!
→ Emotional Connection
→ Empower Others

For Synergys only a + would be needed.

Or, if you want to translate it into checkmarks:

Don’t know exactly what it is or should be, but I do know I want to be a part of Quintessence Pro.

Maybe more precision option in creating customs ie.

  1. Significant Other ethnicity, hair color, body type etc
  2. What business your in like customer service, medicine etc.
  3. More modules I’d guess is the direction I’m suggesting
  4. More fantasy style elements, open to suggestions.

thoughts for pro users:

  • able to upload a custom mask. meditation tracks come to mind.
  • ability to change mask length (3 minutes, 9 minutes, 20 minutes for example) / ability to download different length types (user specified) (10 sec, 30 sec, 3 min, etc.
  • intensity levels for each module/core. 1 is low and 10 is max intensity. for example DEUS = level 9, Sanctuary = level 3, Dopaminergic Revival = level 7 etc
  • an input text box for user specific goals for each custom. this could be a special module
  • a community module collaboration access: basically a designated spot for the community to received custom modules that we can vote for. the roadmap is too slow tbh

How about we get to choose if we want a male or female voice for the script talk…

Also, options of accent, such us American, English, Aussie…

looks like i need to post often if there are titles exclusive to Arch Alchemist Rank

It will probably take me several years to reach 1.000 posts, if I even get there ever. But what I do see is that some ideas that are expressed here can be achieved by conscious guidance so there’s probably no need to have new options to build it into a sub/custom. Other things mentioned that are more of a technical nature would rather complicate things. I think that the Q-store offers enough possibilities to really make a custom that addresses personal preferences. Even more choice will lead to even more confusion what is right and what one should do and eventually to worse decisions made (paradox of choice).
So what I think that is really needed are two things for most of the users (me included):

  1. Clarity about one’s own goals.
  2. Discipline to stick to one’s coice for long enough and to take the right actions consistently.

This way, I’m quite sure that everyone would get enough out of mainstore titels and customs.

I’m very satisfied with main store titles and will likely never feel the need for customs but I would enjoy the possibility for very simple customization of a main store title, as someone previously mentioned in this thread by taking out or doubling down on certain aspect of the major program.

A simple checkbox selection, where you can pay let’s say an extra 5bucks for the custom selection and re-download the program with the new settings.

Like customised / extra toppings on a pizza!

I’m curious how this would pan out, considering ASBR No Fame had an incomplete feeling to it. But it could be handy, turning up certain features of the main store title and dimming down others.

Mini Custom?
