That is a myth! He apparently was paralysed on right arm due to poliomyelitis. Richard Bandler had spoke about how unlikely was that Erickson invented that method.
Bandler also told the story of that happening. So you choose which Bandler statement to believe

Man I saw something today that left a deep impression on my soul, there is this company that came to hire interns, the lady says we are gonna give you “36 lacs” in compensation and trips to many countries ! At that exact moment I saw myself getting really excited but, with me, I also saw so many other people getting excited and turning here and there to talk with each other, the joy on their faces, the aspirations, dreams, I could see it all. It is at this very moment I realised how deep this programming is, very very deep. They use your aspirations, dreams for limiting your potential because all these students are highly intelligent student each possessing unique gifts and talents but at the very moment with all these desires, luxuries they try to make you a slave. Am I gonna make it or am I gonna not? Who knows? One thing I know, I am not leaving stark anytime soon.

What is the real difference between Stark and Renaissance man? And when would you use one versus the other?
I know it’s kind of obvious but i have always wondered about the creativity of Stark versus the creativity of Renaissance Man. And wondered what different scenarios you would use one over the other.

Hey bro.
I wondered about this too. But thankfully I have run both to understand them a bit.
Stark made me wake up early in the morning every day full of energy and good humor. It also has creativity especially in talking and writing. But like we discussed before, even though we can get things done on Stark, it is less disciplined than Emperor.
Now Renaissance Man is more of creativity. The writing creativity was great on this due to the freedom of being expressive scripting. And also empathy is heightened and what people say don’t bother you as much since it has emotional control unlike Stark lol (So maybe adding the Empath module to a Stark custom will do the trick in this regard).
What to choose? If you prefer the extroverted energy, good humor, fame and some creativity of Stark, go for that.
But if you want to be a bit more introverted, empathic, listen and write more than talk, go for Renaissance Man.

I’m going to respond even though I’m not an expert. I did run Stark for an extended period of time. From May 2020 until September 2021. But I have only ever run one loop of Renaissance Man.
I did not really think about Renaissance Man until recently. I suddenly saw just how fitting of a title it would be for me. (After running 1 to 2 weeks of what? You guessed it….Genesis ZP!). And I look forward to the day when I will integrate it into my stack. A beautiful title, it is.
Both Stark and Renaissance Man emphasize and nurture Creativity.
Stark, I would say, is more intentionally outward-facing. Remember that it integrates Fame scripting, Impression scripting, Persuasiveness scripting. It empowers you to inspire those around you with the wonder of your visions, dreams, and ideas. And this is not just incidental, it is part of the core purpose of the Stark program. It attracts and inspires supporters and followers. So that, ultimately, it falls into the category of Leadership and Alpha-oriented programs.
Renaissance Man, in my thinking, drives (or can drive) more of an independent and self-sufficient archetype. It is about empowering you to move freely, comfortably, and masterfully through any sphere of knowledge, learning, expression, or endeavor. I’m thinking of it as primarily about mastering yourself and your capacities, and only secondarily about mastering anyone else. It would promote an internal strength and an internal confidence, and a deep, internal wellspring of creativity, engagement, and inspiration. A confidence in one’s own capacity to be inspired and to express that inspiration.
It does not emphasize Fame or Persuasiveness of others (though those may come as a side-effect to one’s own personal journey). I think it focuses more on the journey itself. First and foremost, it embodies a deep inspired engagement with any and all phenomena.
This will still be tremendously attractive, inspiring, and even charismatic. But that is neither its express aim nor its primary goal. The goal is to embody the journey itself.
The inspired interdisciplinary polymath. Diving exuberantly into the sea of knowledge, exploration, and expression. Integrating and finding unique connections between all that she or he touches. Daring to forge new paths, and confidently communicating and developing all that is intuited and discovered along those paths.
Use cases:
Stark: the Tech Genius. The persuasive innovator. You are gathering people and investors around you to support your vision for a more effective VR/AR application. Together with your team, you successfully establish this new technological iteration, constantly refining it and overcoming every “obstacle” that comes into your way.
Renaissance Man: The combiner of previously uncombined fields and disciplines. “How could puppetry, modern dance, civil engineering, and architecture be used to improve quality of life in contemporary urban dwellers and to promote a more harmonious understanding and connection with the larger eco-systems?”
Those are not exhaustive by any means. Just some ideas.

I think the intelligence scripting is another major difference

from my understanding, stark is more tech, entrepreneur stuff.
Renaissance man is more creative artistic stuff, say marketing, YouTube, acting, fashion.
That’s the general vibe I have in my mind anyway.

I personally would favor the tech geek side of the house. So IGUP, Limitless or Quantum Limitless.
