Limit and shape the way people speak and you shape the way they think, eventually you shape the way their consciousness operates. Slaves weren´t/aren´t allowed to learn how to read, why do you think is that?

If you remove all means to describe something, how long its gonna continue to “exist”?

Control the past you control the the present, and eventually the future, it´s not that complicated of a concept.

It´s almost like someone wrote a book about this once.

A language is a reflection of the population speaking it and their state of consciousness, it is said for example eastern languages have far more words for subjective realities and I would dare to say it is unquestionably true the english language has vocabulary for just about everything in the objective world because they are more externally developed.

@TheGreenMan is right, it is not designed but developed from other languages perhaps the development itself was influenced and tampered with a little bit here and there but society and the people living and speaking english language right now on earth are constantly influencing the evolution of the english language so.

I feel like in English I can express way more than in my own mother tongue, it is not that we do not have the words to explain things but our vocabulary has become as dull as our population, the intelligent people are gone and so the more expressive words and all have simply died out and are no longer being used, even if you revive them (older forms of our language) and start to use that lingo then the modern people will look at you like you are speaking from another time or they won’t understand you lol…

I am not arguing against socio-cultural influences, the power of (withholding/defining/redefining) words etc. but against designing a complete language on/for a purpose. It is a cultural stream and one can influence it here and there but it was there before and will be after.

How cool would it be to have a sub based on the Sapir–Whorf hypothesis (Linguistic Relativity Hypothesis). There is a good movie that incorporates the concept called Arrival.

Could also include some scripting for learning languages.

I am fully fluent in two languages French and English. (By fully fluent I mean I have a very high level including studying literature in those languages)

I also speak some Spanish, Russian and Bahasa. (not very well)

I know for a fact my personality changes ALOT when I am conversing/thinking in different languages as if I was a different person.

Funny I notice this with Russians a lot they become completely different personalities when they speak their mother tongue. I think because they are such a distinct people it is accentuated even more than say if you belong to european culture or a greater culture where different languages are spoken that is not as isolated or different. Almost as if their true nature comes out in Russian haha!

Anyway on another topic. Since this is Into the Wonder Season. And since “Dream” boy was just released. It would be only fear to give Revelation of Spirit when it finally gets released (maybe the seasons final :open_mouth:) also some of that dream hue about it. And of course fascination as there is nothing more fascinating than the wonders of the Spirit.

If nothing else dreaminess and imagination belongs to the Spirit isn’t it.

When I speak Russian, I get a 30% confidence boost. IDK how to explain it but I can bluntly and confidently speak to a woman who I find attractive much better than I can in English.

Why? Couldn’t tell if my life depended on it

EDIT: And I been in the states since I was a kid so not like I have a hard time with English or have an accent

My second language is Russian (I am as fluent as natives), but English gives more confidence boost to me than Russian.
