Itâs from Dragon Reborn: Regeneration. We got the idea from GLM, but didnât use the same scripting, since GLM has a different purpose. All of Regenerationâs scripting is brand new. Youâd have to try it to understand what weâre trying to incorporate (on a smaller level) into the standard healing script.

This isnât directed at you specifically, just a commentary considering this topic or idea has come up a few times.
Quite honestly, this notion that GLM âdoesnât have masculine driveâ is a myth in my opinion. I believe this notion stems from the idea that if you operate with inner peace, youâre somehow being âweak,â and they want the title itself to generate a sense of âburning, angry drive,â rather than developing a sense of inner power that comes from authenticity, presence and clarity.
And the clarity that comes from GLM is something that is glossed over, because it allows you to make decisions from a position of crystal clear insight. One of the things that you commonly see in even fictional depictions (re: archetypal) of driven, masculine men is that they all give off this aura of self-control and inner calmness.
Even villains or anti-heroes â letâs take⌠Tywin Lannister from Game of Thrones, a fan favorite. How often did he have to raise his voice, or even get too commanding â people followed him, flaws and all, because they recognized that his decisions and mindset was built upon a foundation of complete inner security, as we can see with one of his popular quotes: âthe lion doesnât concern himself with the opinions of sheep.â
In other words, he is operating from the position of complete self-confidence and focus â qualities that GLM is designed to help you produce. Now, GLM: Commander is going to have a commanding vibe, but COMMAND is not necessarily DOMINATION. Itâs âcommand,â the ability to express your will in a manner that inspires people to follow those orders.
Keyword â inspires.
If we continue this Game of Thrones analysis, since itâs a remarkable commentary on the nature of power and the expression of power, letâs look at what happens when you have a âleaderâ who is non-stop dominating, abusing people and beating them over the head.
Joffrey. Petulant, whiny, dominating, not COMMANDING. Ultimately betrayed by an alleged ally and no one batted an eye. People rejoiced!
Of course, there are times when an individual must take a harsher approach to deal with people standing in their way or being manipulative, etc. and GLM: Commander will most certainly help you with that, as always. But, with GLM and GLM: Commander, when people bring you their bullshit, that inner sense of self and clarity allows you to easily cut them down with the sword of truth, because you are not reacting from emotion, but from wisdom, inner power and rock solid resilience (a simple definition of this being the ability to easily withstand, and strategically disarm collective or personal pressure to perform in a manner that leads to your own detriment). They cannot sway you, they cannot manipulate a mind that cannot be hooked by fear or drama, because they are sure of themselves.
When analyzing the idea of âcommand,â you only have to look at yourself and ask what types of leaders and commanders that you are willing to follow. Is it the screaming, threatening, domineering type or the type that you follow because within them, you see what you could cultivate within the self?
If âdriveâ equates to more vitality, more desire to get things done, powerful and accurate decision making, an aura of leadership and command, I would argue that both GLM and GLM: Commander handles that in their own unique ways, especially with the latter adopting some of Emperor: Executiveâs scripting, rewritten for GLM: Commander. There will be scripting helping to express outward dominance (while we are idealists, we are also realists â these situations are absolutely necessary sometimes in todayâs world), but itâs not going to be, âDO WHAT I SAY OR I BEAT YOU.â

ZPU is evolving, weâre not sure when it will be considered âfinalâ anymore. But the next few releases will contain more ZPU tech. Weâre testing the latest builds now.

Totally agree with your post.
If one needs open displays of dominance, it kinda proves he is (as a person) rather weak, especially if he uses/needs structural force to make the point. A strong leader does not have to prove it.
Besides openly antagostic individuals these occassions are probably quite rare. (but not unthinkable, e.g. if new (social) rules are established or reinforced and an example is needed.)
Key IMO should be that âfollowersâ donât feel subdued, but are actually quite happy to go along and be part of it.
The gravitas and (broadened) protector scripting from Emp:D could be a good addition.

I would add a commander wants/has
to exert his power into the world,
Like Chris Pineâs Kirk.
I believe as a masculine man you may be happy not exerting that power because it doesnât define you but as a commander and leader you need this.
Edit: when you watch the movie, people are not really happy at first to be led by him and he does take power through manipulation.
Letâs not forget weâre in a real world and whatever we want need to match how humanity worked for thousands of years.

Can you elaborate what you mean by exerting power?
I suspect GLM:C will come with a lot of tools (especially aura & rhetorical ones) to get people moving. Stuff like curating the options, social framing, being laser focused on a goal and bringing it back to it. Like the focus of E:E.
Reflecting on it: The sharp focus on a greater goal and the conversational framing of it as the key aspect could be a good element. It is a clear reference, personal sensitivities (implicitly) always take a bit of a backseat.

They werenât happy to follow him because he was an arrogant and entitled jerk. They began to follow him when he started believing in himself and expressed his strategic and heroic side. While yes, he used manipulation to seize power, it was very obvious that Spock was too emotionally compromised (after literally seeing his mother and his entire planet destroyed) to be commanding the flagship and most powerful starship of the (at the time) military.
EDIT: I mean, when we look at this scenario, it proves what I was saying. For those who arenât in the know, in this franchise, Starfleet has a regulation that when the captain of a vessel is emotionally compromised, they are supposed to temporarily retire from duty and relinquish control to the first officer. Now why would they have this regulation? To ensure that the commander of the vessel is commanding through clarity, focus without emotional entanglement.
And how did that movie end? Even though Spock was more qualified to become captain of the Enterprise, it was given to Kirk instead and Spock willingly and of his own volition offered to be his first officer, given that Kirk inspired him to be bold.

This reminded me of the time when I was in the army. Our platoon had a lieutenant that tried to appear dominant, intimidating. Full of rage and anger, yet despite the fact that we did follow his orders, out of obligation, no one actually respected him.
Later on he was replaced by another lieutenant who would always remain calm and under control. I donât even think the new lieutenant ever fully lashed out on us yet we all respected him because his inner power and presence could be felt despite his very calm demeanour. Thatâs a real life example of GLM right there.

I love this topic! Masculinity is something I was fascinated with as a teenager. I donât want to contribute to a reputation of âno masculine driveâ regarding GLM, Iâll explain myself below regarding what I wrote.
With my interest in Lao Tzuâs âThe wayâ subliminal, Emperor : The Art of War and all inner alignment topics, I hope I donât give the impression that I believe screaming is a way to command respect and operating from inner peace means weakness 
I think this is closer to what I was looking for. In terms of dominance GLM is already very strong. I can cite very good example of me just asking for things randomly, like when I worked with a lawyer for a basic, pre-packaged service and I just casually asked for a lower price because why not? And I got it. Just things I wouldnât have done before.
Itâs more on how this masculinity manifest into the world. Iâm naturally very chill, maybe a bit too passive, and I tend to fall into loops of doing nothing⌠Except trading of course, always have the drive for that hahaha
Staying silent, observing, analysing. Thatâs already something Iâm naturally good at. Hence why I was talking about those themes, using the term âdriveâ. As I am looking to grow those parts of myself.
