I’ve been using AEON along with other subs (recently returned to HeO, slowly replacing spots in the weekly cycle with it again). Now, bear in mind I’ve been on AEON for 5 months and on the mastery of subtle energy related topics for longer than that, but still, compared to the length of time a person is normally meant to run a major title, it’s not excessively long. I also jumped the queue a bit on getting to stage 4 in AEON, and could probably benefit from rerunning the stages. But…
I recently posted about being able to dive down into my lymphatic system (almost a week ago now) after some initial purificatory experiences with third eye gazing and largely ordinary sitting meditation techniques. It happened while combining the internal gazing with continuously implementing the typical breathing suggestions. I was able to adjust where I could feel the lymph going, and actually feel where that was, for that matter. I would adjust it merely by moving the focus of my awareness, adjusting my breathing, making tiny adjustments in the muscle tension within my face, that kind of thing.
Throughout the last week I’ve been trying to recreate the experience perfectly and be able to replicate on demand.
Last night I finally got it to happen again, as close to identical as I’m probably going to get. It felt like there was a sheet of energy up and down the front of my body, and yet at the same time I was unified with that sheet and the body and was able to adjust that “sheet” and the body via the third eye area.
When I started writing a review of AEON back in September after just starting it, and noticed and mentioned interesting experiences with my breathing, so something was happening even back near the start which was beginning to lead me in that direction. Now that I’m trying to standardize getting into this state, which seems like it might be my gateway to deeper states of non ordinary consciousness, I’m finding it’s the breathing pattern again that seems to be driving it. Last night, my breathing started to involuntarily lengthen and deepen, until it felt like there was a single constant energy in my torso in the breathing muscles/diaphragms. I described it as “breathing liquid water” (a joke reference to the Captain Kirk has taken too much LSD video), because the breathing starts to feel thick like a dry water, and then uniting that with the other parts of the meditation, it transforms into an experience of unity with the body, or the energy body at any rate.
Of course, this is my personal experience, and not everyone is going to experience this, but I figured I’d share because yes, breathing has been a big key for me (and yet trying too hard to control it can slow things down), and secondly, for a long time on my chosen subs it was almost impossible for me to see enough progress that I could say “this did that”. All the small little bits of progress with sitting meditation I’d made had to combine for me to be able to repeat this experience and start to make it happen more regularly.
So that’s an idea of what can come from applying AEON and/or HeO to an energetic development practice.
