Two cycles RM:V st 2 review

just come back from a long vacation……there were occasions that I sang in front of people …

the first one was on the beach ,there were people gathered around a bonfire……and I sang a few songs in front of them…I didn’t feel any anxiety or anything……just naturally flowed out…

the second time was at the karaoke bar…I sang over three hour straight…hitting the high note was bit difficult…but still the endurance is insane….

the third one was at the home bar,a stranger approached me after I sang…he seemed to have an intent to chitchat with me but couldn’t find the right angle to open a conversation…so,we exchanged few words and ended….

overall, the results from RMVst2 is quite promising……I noticed that
1: my confidence as a singer definitely increases a lot…I start to see myself as a real singer who could actually perform on the stage and plan on my first music album production…
.2:obvious the endurance has increased a lot…singing couple hours straight is a really strong sign…
3:feeling at home when singing…I didn’t feel afraid that I might be judged or messed up…I just naturally did it without thinking too
much…
4:get into the singing state quickly and recovered from a small mistake quickly without worrying about it….
5:having more fun singing and wanting to do it more…
last,I am a baritone…so,hitting the high note is bit hard for me for now…at least ,to do it consistently with high quality…during the singing ,I could sense that still it is a problem….that is a sticking point for many people who are in the field…so ,I dont worry about it… :grinning: :grinning:it is only two cycles…soon ,tomorrow ,I will start the third one…I am pretty sure…this will no longer be a problem… :upside_down_face:

Anyone has any idea on material theft from online sharing?

@SaintSovereign would it be a good idea to stack these stages together?

Eg: St1 + St 3 or St 3 + St 4

Following my last journal entry about RM:V:

You could stack three of them, but it’d be pretty dense. Especially stage 4.

@SaintSovereign I think I’m going to be running this soon. I have a question though. Is there any scripting for live performance techniques with sequencing hardware outside of DAWs? Or general gear competency? I don’t actually work in a DAW.

I’m bulletproof, nothing to lose, fire away, fire away
ricochet, you take your aim, fire away, fire away,
you shoot me down, but I won’t fall, I am titanium

Anybody on this right now? Thoughts about Daw for Windows? I used to use FL studio back in the day, but I’ve been outta the game for like 10 years.

My good friend – a musician – uses Windows (I’m a Logic Pro guy, won’t ever change anytime soon) and I was just speaking to him about this the other day. He says FL Studio has made tons of improvements and is still incredible and has a 90 day trial or something. I think Cakewalk is now free (being offered by BandLab). I experimented with Studio One, which was an okay experience, but the coolest one I’ve seen is Bitwig (https://www.bitwig.com/). Ableton has a 90 day trial as well.

Looks like Cakewalk has been put into maintenance mode. No new features but will continue to receive patches. Apparently, they made a new DAW called SONAR? https://www.cakewalk.com/

The fact that it has built in royalty free samples is pretty dope, NGL. 15 bucks a month, it’s not bad.

Cakewalk Next

Not on this but planning in the future.

When it comes to DAWs I think it’s about what clicks with you the most and works with you vs against you. I’d recommend just demoing a bunch and see which ones feel right.

I used to use Reaper. Insanely customizable but that was the downfall for me. I got overwhelmed. People develop scripts for it all the time. One cool one was a radial menu someone created for shortcuts.

I’ve just finished my second loop of Vibes 1 and 2. The effects are amazing.
After the first loop, I spent the whole day at my MIDI keyboard creating beats. They just flowed out of me.
I actually can’t really play the piano — I’m more of a guitar guy. But this time, it felt like I’d been playing it forever.

I was so deep in the zone that it almost became a meditative experience.

When I listen to music now, I can pick out the individual elements of a song.
It even goes so far that I can visually see the separate sound layers in front of me.
I immediately start wondering how each sound was created — which plugin was used, and so on.

Listening to music with Vibes is truly a different experience.

Current Stack: KB3 - Vibes 1 - Vibes 3
