Main Disc. Thread - Quintessence: Zero Point (Experimental) (Part 1)

Quite well. We are about to head into the stacking test. Once that’s complete, we’ll have a good idea on how the Zero Point Preview should proceed.

I’m running Khan solo now, would love to start stacking something with it, in about two or three months from now…

Looking forward to "Aegis Initiative: World Peace & Prosperity."

Let’s push that reality.

…and the world around you with its possibilities.

I don’t understand this yet.

We “only” need to eradicate one thing on Earth to achieve that: fear.

It is the root of all bad things humans do.

This should probably read ‘excessive fear’, ‘unchallenged fear’, or ‘unconfronted fear’.

Pure fear in and of itself is a primary emotion that contributes positively and negatively to who and what we are.

Removing fear completely, similar to removing the capacity to experience pain, would give rise to unintended consequences.

These more difficult and challenging aspects of us also provide special opportunities for growth and evolution; but only if we can find the courage to face them.

Without courage, fear is an oppressive tyrant.

But without fear, there can be no courage.

You could also say that courage is only necessary because fear exists

But this is really outside of the scope of this thread, so let’s keep it at that haha

That was a good point.

Let me try to reconnect it to Zero Point by saying this.

Nothing strictly speaking is necessary. I am most certainly not particularly necessary.

But everything that is here in existence also has its Functions and its Contributions.

The question of the reality that you or I am aiming for is not only a question of what is necessary. It is also about the particular functions that we want to have actively expressed in our lives.

So we might also ask what is useful or what is beneficial or what is desirable. At the end of the day, it’s about CHOICE.

enter: Zero Point

I choose to include fear, as painful and challenging as it may be, because I also recognize how–like the sand that irritates the oyster–it give rise to new and beautiful possibilities.

In short:
Courage is not only necessary; it’s beautiful and inspiring.

I have no proof, but I’ll hazard to say:

were we to remove fear, we would awaken the next morning to discover that we’d also unintentionally removed a number of meaningful inspirations.

(For the less poetically inclined, fear also appears to underlie a great number of executive decision-making and social cue-recognition capabilities. Within healthy parameters, it’s a critical contributor to motivation. Fear is essentially the recognition and the anticipation of the aversive or the unwanted, and fear motivates us to imagine, process, and prepare for unwanted outcomes in advance of experiencing them. Unpleasant, yes, but ultimately helpful. Even without courage.).

I think Saint is referring to changing the Beliefs at the base of pyramid in the ‘Beliefs Hierarchy Pyramid’.

I’m not a big fan of “moving away,” eradication, or even healing type of ideas.
I’d prefer “moving towards” and creating type of scripts.

If we have the power to manifest any reality, I vote for happy / loving / supportive / contributing people, not fearless jackasses.

:joy:

The opposite of fear in my book is not being the fearless jackass, it’s being driven by faith that it all works out.

BUT, I agree with what you said, happy, loving, supportive, compassionate, but for THIS a big part of fear needs to be gone.

ANYWAY

Where’s my Alchemist ZP?

Here’s an interesting note. I know for me there is fear about removing fear. As much as I’ve hated dealing with excess fear in my life, my internal defense mechanism had a purpose for it. Trying to shut that down directly is definitely perceived as a threat. So in that respect I do agree with @Malkuth completely removing it is an idealistic goal whereas learning to live and learn from it can have benefits.

I see fear kind of like physical pain. There are some people who don’t feel pain and as a consequence hurt themselves more without realizing. Pain is on a spectrum and closely linked with feedback to touch. Completely removing fear, I don’t know it seems like you’d be altering a very vital life function we as humans have used to navigate the world.

I understand and appreciate your point better now.

I was interpreting your statement through a literal, biophysiological frame (i.e., the amygdala and the limbic system, the objective neuroanatomy of fear sensations). You were speaking from a frame of subjective, spiritual insight (i.e., the soul-shrinking experience of fear and doubt).

As a result, I missed the wisdom in your post.

Some of the things that are included in my definition of physiological fear (for example, nervous, excited, joyful anticipation before one’s wedding ceremony) would not be included in yours.

Next time, I’ll ask more questions first to clarify how the other person is using concepts and terms.

Yes, but in your defense, I didn’t really make that clear. So all good!
