Wow, that was a while back, I have no clue what I was talking about anymore…
You can run a sub a lifetime and it will always find something about you to improve. The way I see it is like your goals are mountains. You can not see what’s behind the mountain until you’ve climbed it. So until you do, you think the mountain is the ultimate goal.
The subs will continue to improve you because of the way they are scripted. They should always challenge you.
However, myself and other people have experienced a certain amount of what I would call mental exhaustion. Just like how a new sub gives me a rush of energy and an elated feeling, if I listen to it long enough I start feeling a bit of resistance. A feeling or desire to change it up for a bit.
I usually switch to a different sub. Other people take a break, a period of no subs at all (just like how bodybuilders have to take a break every now and then). Eventually we come back to the sub in question. Often when the sub is upgraded we get all excited about it again.
