I can already envision a boundes ocean of women swarming me, their voices clamouring as they reach out with arms holding infants, shouting, “Sign my baby’s forehead! Please, sign my baby’s forehead!” The crowd surges forward, each mother eager for my autograph.
Uff, shiver me timbers! What a vision, i Gotta be sure to carry a permanent marker on me at all times!!
I do hope we can up the creativity on Ultimate Writer X. Felt way more creative on the OG Renaissance Man so it would be useful to see if something from RM can be used in RM:UWX. And from RM:V too.
To play devil’s advocate to myself, maybe I should have ran UWX for longer to access the creativity but for some reason I didn’t continue even though I wanted it to work.
More likely I need a goal for writing on RM:UWX and that RM worked for my writing skills since I was sort of “free writing” poetry without any goal in mind.
Now that I think about it, it is possible that the empathy scripting in RM (and being the “soulful and emotionally-liberated alpha”) helped channel my emotions to be able to write them out.
I used RM:UWX a while back and felt similar. It is IMO kinda a special case. Going by the description it is a very comprehensive, very long program covering all aspects of writing and all necessary enhancements. In a way it feels like a massive, streamlined custom for writers published in the main store. It takes time to get going and creativity only makes up a bit of the whole sub. (Which actually does make a lot of sense. Writing is not a sprint but a marathon. Sure, you need an idea, but putting it into form is hard labour.) And on the other hand writing is something we all do all the time, so are already “trained” in some areas so that some parts of RM:UWX might not be necessary/in focus for every single user while they still are part of the subliminal intake.
Some parts (like the better, clearer input from the subconscious) we will only realize way after, if ever. Other elements, like getting into and staying in a writing flow, need an awful lot of single parts coming together at the right time, so it will take quite a while til everything is in place. But if you can train that, it’s more than worth it.
That’s what makes RM:UWX unique IMO. Like many other subs you improve your skills and see continuous development, but the grand prize, the writing flow, this trance like state when all the right words just flow out of your mind onto the paper without another thought, works more like a lightswitch and we can only turn it on, when all the lines are in place and we got enough sparkle.
The only way to get a “quicker fix”, besides the NSE and maybe updated Limitless and Mind’s Eye scripting, would be to slim it down, lose a couple of niche elements completely, which would IMO be a mistake. (Though I suspect the NSE could cover some parts of the script and maybe shorten it a little, and make it more personal. If you identify yourself what’s holding you back and train for it without scripting for every eventuality.) Without clear focus you will never get into the (writing) flow state, without stress relieve you will never get into a flow state, without an everbroadening vocabulary you can’t ride the wave properly and with a writer’s block you won’t even try.
Maybe it could be added to the description, that RM:UWX is not a “one cycle and done” sub but takes time and commitment.
I’ll try it in a custom once it is updated.
@SaintSovereign Is Mind’s Eye like the quintessential, “pure” creativity sub? Maybe it would be a good stack.
I only know, that SaintSovereign said, it should be easy to integrate in an update for UWX, so I thought I would remind him.
I bought UWX for my fiancee and she’s using it (the only one she’s been consistent with so far) and she’s trying to improve her handwriting but with not much improvement.
She wants to use handwritten post it’s for her IG stuff, but feels like it would put people off.
I guess it can help you if you consciously guide it by taking action.
I’ve been using HeO for around 12 cycles and i don’t notice any improvement in my handwriting. I don’t take any action to improve it too either so that’s to be expected.
although, a few months after i started HeO, my typing speed increased by 20wpm by just typing in my daily life without trying to improve the speed. so there are effects that can occur even without that much conscious guidance.
I have been running RM:UWX since it came out. Either in a custom or main title.
My writing as a whole has taken leaps and bounds. Even when I don’t want to write, I just sit at my computer pull up my file and I am taken in this current of research and script writing.
I have been able to take dry historical text and mold it into effective gripping scenes. My ability to describe the brutality of the past has drastically improved.
I still need work on scripting sex and romance themes, but the source material is pretty austere in regards to that.
I am decent when it comes to character motivations, but that’s more trying to pull that from the research than the writing itself.
This sub is a slow burn. It’s not in your face, but over hours of writting, you catch yourself occasionally writting lines and wondering how the hell you came up with that.
My customs always have an emphasis in storytelling so it could be that, but the way I have consumed media has drastically changed. While reading and watching TV and books, I have begun to deconstruct how they are telling the story, what type of prose are they using, when do they hold back. Another thing that I am improving on and runs over and over in my head is show, don’t tell when creating stories.
If they hammer that in the updated version how to show vs tell, that would be pretty awesome if they haven’t already.
My plot hooks also have improved pretty dramatically.
This sub took someone who never considered themselves a writer and struggled in storytelling, to an apprentice storyteller.
I’m just tagging her so she can tell it herself.
In general, writing is easier, also writing in new categories is easier. When she started her new job, she needed to write sales copy for products which she never did before, but it was fairly easy.
She’s rather exhausted from her job atm, so it’s gonna be a few days until she answers. Just be patient.
