We’ve been working non-stop on new products and tech since late last year, and we’re preparing for a well-needed break. By “break,” we mean that we’re going to focus on better instructions, more support articles and the such.
Before we go, however… we’ve got two more titles in mid to late development. One is a classic (the success of which shocked me, as I’ve stated before that I almost vetoed it’s original release), and the other began as an idea for a module on the Q store and then grew into a monster of a four stager when it became a passion project of mine.
To reveal both – the musical single for the DRAGON REBORN SERIES, created when myself, @Fire and our collaborators were using RENAISSANCE MAN: VIBES – a title designed for music producers and sound designers to achieve ABSOLUTE mastery of your craft.
In addition, if you’ve purchased Renaissance Man, Renaissance Man: Ultimate Writer X or Ultimate Artist (as this will become a Renaissance Man title upon redesign) in the past, a single stage prototype of Renaissance Man: Vibes is now available in your account (more info on this below the track):
And yes, that’s the one and only JOHN WINGLISS.
DRAGON REBORN:
FLAME ON!
I betcha
thought
that
this
would
be a really depressing jam
but you see i kinda
let
fire
burn away that pain
and now I’m free
of
the hate
the blame
Reborn in every way
So let me do my thing
What’s standing in your way
just burn that shit away
and cry cry cry another day
can’t take it, move out the flame
said a dragon ain’t tame
and a phoenix got no limits
so flame on, flame strong, win it
SWITCH STANCE
Did you have dreams
and did you have plans?
Tear ‘em, burn ‘em up
and what remains
and what comes out the flame
is the phoenix
And that’s the real meaning
of a message sent from heaven to meet us
I mean it, I mean it
Grab it now and keep it keep it
What’s standing in your way
just burn that shit away
and cry cry cry another day
can’t take it, move out the flame
said a dragon ain’t tame
and a phoenix got no limits
so flame on, flame strong, win it
Cash it in, toss in away
They’ll think you’re insane
But who cares anyway
When you peek behind the veil
You’re the one that’s sane
They couldn’t handle the flame
Standing in your way
just burn that shit away
and cry cry cry another day
can’t take it, move out the flame
said a dragon ain’t tame
and a phoenix got no limits
so flame on, flame strong, win it
:: BEAT SWITCH ::
I hate to switch it on you, but trust
cuz i thought we should smoke it up
now i ain’t never met a real phoenix
but you’re here so light this up
if the past leaves you stuck
if the past leaves you stuck
maybe you should burn it up, up, up, up
let the flame make ashes from shame
scorch the old forget the pain
refine the night
it’ll be light, light, light
I said fly, fly, fly, fly, fly, fly
take off and see a new sky
look up, look up
there’s the key to a new view
funny ain’t it?
the flame reveals the truth
the flame reveals the truth
the flame reveals the truth
As stated before, Renaissance Man: Vibes is a four stage title, but it’s being developed a bit differently than before. Instead of having to run the stages sequentially, each stage is essentially it’s own title, hyper-focused on a few topics. For example, stage 1 is very much focused on complete mastery of your digital audio workstation, as well as complete mastery of sound engineering, design and understanding the nature sound.
You can see the logical pairing between these two topics – understanding sound, and then being able to actually create them in a DAW (or physical synthesizer, etc.).
The fourth stage of Renaissance Man: Vibes covers all the topics in the prior stages, but doesn’t go as deep into them. This prototype is what will become the fourth stage.
It’s not complete, but it’s designed for those who are actively working on music to see an immediate result. Right now, it covers mastery of your DAW, lyric writing, mastery of sound design, melodies and harmonies, connecting to your music through emotion, singing and voice control, etc.
If you’re a musician and can compare an older track versus one made on the Renaissance Man: Vibes prototype, that would be extremely helpful.
