Main Disc. Thread - Index Gate: Ultimate Programmer X

It’s time to change my name to SaintViktor :joy:

That’s a good question. For the sudden wealth of opportunities, reversal of fortune, and the timing of the email that came through, it’s nothing but Index Gate. 100%, no questions asked. I had been focusing exclusively on tech jobs, and looking for a very specific type of tech job at that, so everything was already primed.

I will probably write about it briefly in the Emperor thread, but Emperor “manifested challenges” (I know they don’t like us saying that) and sent me a very loud and clear message on what to focus on and what not to focus on in the moment. Unfortunately, it was too powerful for me and I ended up stopping.

But running both certainly made it very clear how to proceed and ultimately that intuition was spot on in terms of the result I wanted. So yeah they both helped in their own way, even with such a short number of loops.

One of the many things I love about this NSE tech is that it’s pretty obvious what’s coming from where – especially if you introspect and pay attention to your thoughts.

I would have loved to experience 80s or 90s Japan. I bet you had a blast in your free time. Thanks :pray:t5:

I was always positive when running indexgate alongside stark. Everytime i got a role i got feedback like “you are so positive we want you”

I am dropping Indexgate for Stark Black now.

I saw @emperor_obewan’s extensive posts about using IG but really curious about people using it at work because of the following from the copy:

Unfortunately I got more than enough out of it for the time being and decided to switch over to QL for mental gains in areas beyond just software and to keep the stack lean. Is anyone running this at a job right now? @RockyHandsome have you used it in your daily work?

LOL I hadn’t read that part of the copy. “No crashes”, “no hitches with the code”… I think that part was a bit of wishful thinking  . That part really depends on what language you’re working in and how familiar you are with the subtleties of the language. I’ve definitely had my share of horrendous bugs and crashes as I’ve learned the subtleties of Rust and its third party libraries. Just comes with the territory.

I lead a.team of engineers and software engineers i found indexgate with stark an absolute asset.

Yeah, that makes sense – there’s no such thing as perfect code, really.

But honestly I assumed it’s less of making perfect software and more of being that wizard (there’s always one in every workplace) that knows the codebase and system really well and seems to pull these solutions out of nowhere because of that knowledge.

Ahhh ok, wow. :eyes: That’s a killer combination for engineering leadership.

Is anyone using Index Gate for web design?

I want to create websites for businesses - not necessarily beautiful artistic websites, but functional websites that attract customers to the business website, yet look modern and professional.

I create most websites in Elementor, but I do write custom code here and there, if needed.

Two cool resources I came across that I hope will help myself and others

Alot of developers are using chatgpt to write their code these days. They tellme its a blessing from the Gods.

Basically using ChatGPT as an IDE. I could be wrong though

I use it when I come up on errors. It’s good at finding syntax errors especially.

Sometimes I’ll paste in code or a function and ask it to explain how it works.

And yeah, I’ve been playing with telling it what my goal is and having it spin code for me. The key is I study and analyze the hell out of the code.

It’s a great tool for shrinking the learning curve

Came across an ad on Reddit for interview prep help. @SaintSovereign does this qualify as a manifestation or am just a coincidence? @Fire @AnswerGroup
