Does anyone here have experience with C# Unity & Blender?
Same here tbh I’m always down for a good useful tool
@SaintSovereign @Fire for a person who’s looking to just get better at UI visual design and some elements of User Experience Interface design like super light coding.
Would you suggest Ultimate Artist or Index Gate? I’m also running RM right now so I’m not even too sure if I need to switch it
I am not SaintSovereign or Fire, but, personally, I would go with Ultimate Artist. Design basically is an art, no matter digital or analogy. So, UA suits you better.
I am currently developing a title in Unity. Blender, not so much. If I wasn’t washing out for future ZP tests, I’d be running this. I mean, I did run the prototype last year.
Stack RM with Index Gate.
What do you think the learning curve would be for someone with very little coding exposure?
I want to test Index Gate & Limitless with a very narrow focused approach to learn C# Unity and Blender.
I am trying to get time frame of what is normal to learn these to be able to make most projects.
I knew nothing about coding or game design before I tested the prototype. Within a week, I was able to read other people’s code and understand what that code did. Within six months, I can use Unity like a pro. My coding skills have improved, though I haven’t studied it like I want (I legit feel guilty when coding knowing there’s stuff on SubClub to do ) but I felt like my understanding of C# skyrocketed.
The best result, which you’ll eventually see people saying, is this confidence and “knowing” that you can learn how to code.
Also, I noticed I was able to understand the concepts behind 3D modeling and animation, which was new. I’m just the type of person who would rather hire a modeler / animator than learn it myself, but I try to understand the basics so we can communicate better.
That is actually pretty crazy result wise
This is awesome! Makes me want to start learning right now.
I know the industry is incredibly competitive but it still surprises me that more people don’t learn code . Especially given how well it pays
I haven’t run this sub but seriously I don’t think so. That’s too far of a stretch.
Not everybody wants to do it. Same reason more people don’t learn to be auto mechanics.
Very true.
In reality nothing is too far of a stretch when it comes to subs and manifestations… plus on the sub page it says
- Manifest the perfect blend of equipment and software applications, elevating your programming skills to new heights.
So a new laptop for programming would count as equipment
For me it isn’t even about getting paid, it’s about creating projects for myself.
I want to build my own shit, not work for other people to build their dreams.
programming is a science and an art. if you are about to run this title, be ready to become a computer scientist and programming artist. when you become them, be ready to look at CS at something you love more than just thing you will earn money from.
edit: though it doesn’t mean you do not earn money. the title has a scripting for commercial aspect of using your programming skills and SC knowledge.
