Interesting thing I found while running Hero Origins. While investigating the Taoist Neidan practices, and other practices linked to them, I started looking into the Japanese concept of hara, and ran across the work of a guy named Okada Torajiro, who developed a system of sitting meditation known as Seiza. In his writings he made a number of interesting statements like this:
If there is no strength in the tanden, vices such as jealousy, envy, wrath, greed and distrust appear.
Pride, laziness, moodiness, suspiciousness—all these come from lack of force in the belly.
For those who are running this sub, that are looking to find some method of taking action with regards the virtue scripting, it sounds like practices that develop strength through the hara could be worth looking into.
