Probably an odd question for this sub, but does anyone know if this helps you feel better about not being productive? I don’t mean procrastinating, I mean for those days where stuff doesn’t get done. I already deal with a lot of self criticism for not always getting stuff done. I’m all for being more productive, but it’s equally important that when I fail to be productive or don’t execute goals like I plan out that it doesn’t trigger a guilt/shame trip. Stuff like that is what can weigh me down and end up causing more issues due to the stress I cause myself.
So if this sub only emphasizes productivity I can see that’s going to stir up a ton of recon. I’ve always felt my lack of productivity has more to do with constantly beating myself up vs lack of drive.
A car analogy to give a better idea. Someone driving a car and the engine is close to blowing. They don’t like the noises the car is making so they pull off at a gas pump and give the car more fuel in hopes it fixes the issue. A few miles down the road and the engine has a huge failure because they never bothered to add oil to support it.
