Understand, no disrespect to people with different perspectives and values.

Khan has definitely made me really enjoy and focus more on these type of discussions to learn more and getting deeper into social dynamic nuances, status nuances in social settings, dating nuances…

Can we get a separate thread for these kinds of topics? Been interesting as well reading into how porn impacted isolated tribes once they received internet for first time.

Okay, I want to make this clear: no one is “in trouble” about this.

I’m aware of the various sides of this debate, and even some of the science behind it.

As tempting as it is to set up such a thread, and as much as I would like to see what unfolds (because I think it would be informative), I would wonder if there would eventually begin to be a polarized discussion, with each side thinking they were the logical objective ones, while disregarding/dismissing/minimizing/rejecting contradictory input as subjective (emotions, “personal experience”, “points of view”, standards, expectations, preferences, “yes, but…”, opinions, biases) instead of entertaining how input that contradicts one’s thesis/facts/information might be based in fact, empiricism, or science.

Well some of that will naturally happen as it as a more personal topic than discussing say quantum physics…
I think it’s good for discussion, i noticed engaging in relevant discussion while on subs even if other side doesnt agree or resonate, is still very useful to more deeply reflect and think about things, even to better process some things, so writing even for oneself through engagement is beneficial.

I would say open the topic and lets see different perspectives, through clashing and conflict of perspectives and values you refine your own ones better.
