Those AI models were built on the backbone of dedicated artists like you with zero compensation. It would be nowhere without it. I say if AI is trained on art the company doing so has to pay royalties every time your data is used or they’re stripped of everything and are only allowed to use art that was willingly put up in public domain.
AI is cool. Theft isnt, and that’s what they did. AI moved faster than the laws governing it and artists got screwed.
I will never acknowledge individuals who use AI exclusively to make art as their claims of being artists. As a tool I embrace the idea of it. But only if its ethically done which it wasn’t.
I don’t know where this landscape is heading. Ive never commissioned art but if I did in the future I will always go with a human being. I know there are others out there too that respect your time and dedication to this craft.
