Khan Black & Foundations journey

It’s Friday.

  • I’ve shaved, done with the beard. Looking good.

  • I’ve booked a meeting with a doctor to check on my elbow, I have some inflammation of sorts there that messes me up in the gym. I need to get it fixed if I’m to get back on a proper weight lifting plan. Currently just doing endurance running or HIIT.

  • Khan Black ST2 - 03:00

  • DRR/GLM - 03:00

Now that I’ve hit my goal weight I want to get more serious in the gym and build muscles. But first things first, get my elbow fixed. I think it will be shockwave therapy and some rehabilitation exercises (I hope) for a month or two.

Streaming, i processed my anxiety, and I still stream, but I don’t have the same ”need” for it. It’s truly feeling like just a hobby. Which is nice.

Processing some stuff around:

  • Delegating
  • Fear of people talking behind my back on me

Run healing subs if you need to and live life. Heal in the crucible of life. If recon tells you need to become fit and stop with the healing and switch to Wanted or LOTS, then listen to it with one ear.

  1. Keep running healing subs
  2. Start exercising

You don’t need to switch subs. You don’t need to stop living life.

Played some wow classic era. My recon told me switch to Khan. I said no, but I rolled as a Warrior orc in WoW instead. I’m Khan already, sheesh. Now watch me farm these Zebras. I’m building a house out of the hooves.

Recon is crazy, but I might be onto something. I just need to let go and ride it out. Consciously I know. But the resistance is deep.

I’m here until I figure it out.

20 day PMO free.

Log 1:
Had a intimate session last night. Resets my SR run but it’s fine. However I feel a stronger energy in my pelvic floor, so perhaps I was stagnating anyway. We go again. This time trying to circulate more.

Recon today, one of those I don’t where this recon is coming from type of recon. I listened to Lovebomb and just try to relax.

Bought some sweatpants today to cozy it up.

I get to effing heal and feel like crap.

Had a nice results day, besides the recon.

  • Facilitated a hackathon that got great response. At least 3 people complimented it.
  • Found out I was nominated for the colleague of the year.
  • I might jump in as a temporary tech lead when my tech lead goes on a sick leave. He trusts me.

All good opportunities and results.

I felt frustrated from not knowing any of the pop culture quizzes (after work activity). I thought I was down with the kidz, but apparently my pop culture is not today’s pop culture. Lol unc stamp?

I also got frustrated feeling tired af. Then got frustrated that I got frustrated even though I had a ”great” day. The inner work and healing is tough dude. Makes me not even appreciate the results and take them in. Also feeling frustrated that I had great opportunities and results today yet at the da same time I feel like I underperformed today. It’s weird.

Another frustrating thing is that some people get ahead in career by just being confident and just do guesswork, a thought. Is this cope?

You don’t want to prioritise and don’t want to say no because that means making a decision and taking a decision, and that means you might in retrospect you realised you’ve made the wrong or less optimal call. And that causes failure or bad feedback. It’s fear, but the added stress and pressure and inauthenticity you don’t take into consideration. The cost of that.

This is what I’m processing right now.

Also, had a session with a naprapath and got shockwave treatment, red light therapy and some scanning. Booked a follow up and got some pointers to deal with the inflammation. Looks like I can just hit the gym with some caveats. :muscle:

Also said no to recruiting this year (technical interview). Practicing saying no I guess to my PM.

Let me know what they say on pointers to deal with inflammation. I’m curious…

As a runner, my inflammation secret weapon is a fresh ginger and turmeric tea every morning. I buy fresh whole ginger and whole turmeric and use a zester to put small amounts in hot water. I drink the solids and I rarely get inflammation anymore.

Always check with a naprapat for your specific issue. Basically I need to stop fully extending or close my elbow if that makes sense. Don’t put pressure on it. Like resting it on an arm rest. Pain tracking.

I usually sleep with my arms closed, and I rest the elbow on the arm rest. I should stop that.

Anyway, it’s very personal and specific directions for my issue.

It basically never gets to heal because I do the no-no’s things alot. So in my case I need to stop doing that. I will try your recipe to keep it under control while I fix the lifestyle things.

I’m just being curious to be curious. I love learning physiology and about the body because my biology and chemistry classes in college intrigued me. You shared some really good info. I didn’t know all those things could affect inflammation in a persons specific case. Thank you for sharing.

Yea give that tea a try and let me know.

It’sa specific inflammation in the elbow. Lowering all inflammation is good, but if you keep doing what caused it it invents it to heal you might not fix the root cause and just fix the symptoms. But it’s highly interesting like you said when he spoke about it and why the body does it. It’s basically trying to heal and protect the elbow but it’s methods are not always necessary or conflicting if you don’t understand the issue and add pressure.

He made it sound like my body thought my bones were about to hit the tendons, so it blew up bursa (bursitis), which is like an air-bag to protect the tendons. Problem is I have pressure on a nerve from the airbag and from putting outside pressure on the same spot. It’s a dead lock. Then the body is also trying to speed up the recovery of the tendons by building veins there, problem is you don’t want veins on your tendons. It’s like a last resort type of thing but it’s not optimal.

Anyway I’m not a doctor and not sure I used the current English terms. But it was fascinating to hear it explained.

You explained it clear enough for me to understand. Yea I didn’t know the body could conflict it’s on healing. I always heard growing up, “The body just knows how to heal and does it”. This is the stuff I like learning about because when I think about growing up in this world they give you a manual for everything you own. But they don’t give you a manual for taking care of your body or how it functions.

I just want to eat dinner and watch a good movie today 🫡

Need to buy nice pants and a shirt tomorrow for a party this Saturday.

Going back to microloops. Gotta cut myself some slack. Damn masochist sometimes.

I’m running this stack to my birthday then fold this chapter. Healing is tough man. And getting boring.

Give me strength to stick through!

Screw it, @RVconsultant how are you good sir? Hope you had a good summer! Could you be so kind and close this journal. It was fun. But I’m ready for something else.

Are you sure it’s not recon bro? Maybe washout first?

It’s definitely recon. But I’ve been done with this for a while and will get some novelty.

Thanks for the accountability brother.

Right now I’m thinking Wanted, Index Gate and staying on KB. But time will tell. I am going on a washout first.

You got peace yet?

The sexy software developer era, huh

I’ll jump on peace right after I finish current cycle, which should be at ~14th of September (including washout)
