Is it safe to use subliminal with antidepressants?

I’m wondering about this, i used to use youtube subliminals mostly but when i started antidepressants due to high level anxiety, i stopped using subs. Is it safe to use antidepressants and subliminals together?

That’s just my opinion.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how severe is your depression?

Do you feel that you have enough energy to change?

What sub do you want to use?

Do you consider a healing sub?

I have severe anxiety, but it was greatly reduced with antidepressants. and i do not have depression. I want to listen to subliminals to improve my mental health and financial strength, but I think subliminals interact with the nervous system (at least for me). so I’m wondering if it’s safe to use with antidepressants.

Good question. When I was using brain entrainment technology, I was told that I shouldn’t listen to it, at least two hours after drinking anything with caffeine, and one hour before drinking anything with caffeine. Now, I’m not sure if it’s the same thing with your meds and subs, but I would love to hear the answer as well…

My previous remarks were about effectiveness not safety. Sorry I forgot to add that in.

Yes, but with adequate attention to your therapeutic support network and social support network.

What you want to be careful about is reconciliation and of wrongly estimating how much pressure you’re placing on yourself.

You’ll want to use a gentler approach and to adhere to the listening guidelines or to an even more gradual approach. Try to be strategic and to limit how many titles you play at one time.

But don’t get too dramatic or alarmist on how you relate to the programs. They’re a high level form of communication. But they’re still essentially communication. The risks associated with them are the same risks associated with all communication and with all ideas. No more, no less.

Think of the subliminal like a book. Just a very, very, very highly effective book, that just gets absorbed into your mind like water into a sponge.

So is it safe to use a book with anti-depressants? Or while depressed for that matter?

Depends which book. Are the ideas helpful, relevant, and supportive to your situation?

Also depends on how you use it. Do you stay up all night and exhaust yourself reading it? (Though technically that’d be your choice, not the book’s, right?).

Use the same good judgment that you would apply when taking in any other information. Choose programs that are compatible with your values and your functional goals. And continue to strive to live a healthy, healing lifestyle. Meet with supportive, informed people to compare notes on your progress and on your process.

With all of that, you’ll be fine.

Thank you for your nice and informative comment. I got my answer. :relaxed:

If someone is taking antidepressants, I think they should only listen to anti-depression programs until a solid recovery. Only then should he move on to other topics.
