How long is a cycle?

Is 1 cycle of a stack supposed to be total 21 days. 1 day you listen the other day you rest till you reach 21 days total counting rest days?

Or am i supposed to listen to a stack for a total of 6 days. 1 day you listen the other day you rest till you reach 60 days?
