Hey Tyler Durden
First of all, if noone has mentioned it yet, welcome to the forum!
Secondly, the guidelines are meant to be just that: guidelines.
They are meant to be there for you to ensure you don’t overplay your hand, get burnt out.
However, they are not fixed rules. Secondly, there are many ways to deal with the three sub guideline. One is going back and forth between the different subs you opt to use within a stack. For me, having been running SubClub subs for over 6 years now, I treat the guidelines as a way of identifying when I’m going above and beyond the usual. However, if you take full responsibility for what you do with the subs, you can experiment, push the limits, see how much you can take before you end up waking up groggy or getting brain fog. Identify your own unique processing speed.
If I was in your situation, I would first off note that you don’t have to listen to the full 15 minutes – you can use microloops. Secondly, only you can sense out your own personal limits in using the subs. If 45 minutes is too much for you, cut the listening time for the different subs down, then gradually increase it until you feel like you are at the optimal point for your own processing. Personally, I’ve listened to more than 45 minutes before without having major issues, but I’m a veteran, and your mileage may vary.
Put simply, I would suggest cautious experimentation while taking full responsibility for your own actions, using the guidelines as just that. How you decide to move forward is up to you.
