How do I know I'm done processing

How do I know my subconscious is done processing and I can move on to an entirely different stack? Is it 12 days?

I think 12 days is the minimum limit given when trying to cycle a new sub into your stack, which seems like a good place to start.

But is the subconscious ever really “done processing”? :thinking:

I don’t know the answer, but this is a fascinating question that springs more questions to my mind (I’ll spare you the others).

I’d say a more nuanced answer has to do with your specific situation…

For example, I took the whole month of May and some change off of running all subs, completely spontaneously. When I thought I “should get back to my stack” after a couple weeks, I had a sense of being “done” with subs, so I just went on with not running anything.

I didn’t expect it to last that long, but it did. And when I got the green light to run subs again, my stack focus was completely different. All of it totally unplanned and counter to my “fomo”.

So basically what I’m getting at is: ask yourself, then listen.

More rest days from subs are never not good…

And guidelines are great for pointing you in a general safe direction, but if you want to really work with your subconscious then no one outside of you can actually tell you the exact number of days your subconscious will take to be ready for more input, imo.

Wait for 42 days.
42 is the answer to everything.

Jokes aside, 42 days might not be to far off.
I didn’t do such a long washout, but reading journals, for some it took over a month until they noticed that processing was done.

I thought about washing out until the end of the month, which happens to be 13 days of washout.

Coincidence?

You can switch one title every 12 days

Three titles would take 36 days if you switch one every 12 days.

I know I’m done with heavy processing when my dreams stop being really vivid and I no longer wake up feeling groggy. However, I rarely take breaks — only when it gets really intense, and even then, it’s usually no more than three days off.

I don’t take any breaks when switching subs.

It feels exactly the same with me, except that the “green light” hasn’t arrived yet (after 30 days) :slight_smile:
