On Time
I love this perspective. It’s the same one I started my SC journey with. When I started subs at 35, three months, six months, even twelve months felt like mere moments in the grand scheme of my life. What was even three years of personal development if it meant achieving my potential and having forty years of effortless success ahead of me?
Lately I’ve lost sight of that. I got swept up in the world of instant manifestation — why wait twelve, six, or three months when I could get what I wanted in 24 hours to three days? When things didn’t come instantly, I started to waver, second-guess, and self-sabotage.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had an amazing year, but it came with a lot of self-inflicted hardship. All because I wanted things now when what I actually needed was to take action and trust the process.
That’s why I’m locking into my stack and meditation practices for the year. I’d rather have a year of slow progress than another three months flip-flopping for quick-fix solutions.
