Having trouble “quoting” posts on mobile. Anyone else, or just me?

Title.

I can’t “quote” people on mobile.

I do sometimes, and the only pattern I’ve found is if my data/wifi connection isn’t all that strong, then hitting “quote” does not much.

Getting on a better/more solid connection helps in my case anyway.

Maybe try using a different browser when you use the forum. I’ve used both Chrome and Edge, with no trouble quoting posts, so I think it’s a safari bug.

As long as you write something and add a space above or below quote it should work. Just highlight body of words and “quote.”
I quoted you on my iPhone.

Same here. Happens all the time. You see the ‘Quote’ rectangle, but when you tap it, it’s non-responsive.

The workaround is to slightly change the size of the quote. Highlight one more word or one less word. It’ll work. Then just delete or add as needed.

Workaround that works for me on iPhone (most of the times) is to mark the passage, then scroll a slight bit up and THEN hit the quote button.
