From Zero to Hero (but I'm not running Hero lol)

That’s the plan.
I’ve had a lot of issues to deal with in the last 12 months, including some mental health problems.
Partly because of such things, I kept switching stacks (as you seem to be aware) and of course not getting results as a consequence.
But I feel I’ve finally emerged into the light and indeed seen the light and how self-destructive my sub-hopping has been.
Now I’ve found a stack I’m happy with, but much more importantly, I know I will stick to it even if I feel unhappy at any point.
Let’s see what happens

I know it can be tempting to look at all the items here at SC and think about all the improvements you want to make, and perhaps feel pressured to fulfill all your dreams or fix all your issues at once. The thing is, people who pick one title and focus on it, seem to make more obvious gains.

If you had to pick one for one cycle, which one?

What do you think is the most urgent practical issue for you?

Which might be the most important emotional issue?

Day 10 (Wanted & Diamond custom)
Sleep not great, maybe 6 hours.
Mood ok.
Interestingly, the physical shifting of Wanted still seems to be happening even though I haven’t yet been able to start going to the gym again.
Muscle definition and size that should have disappeared weeks ago is still there, and may even be increasing

Day 11 (Rest day)
Had a massage from gf last night and fell asleep within minutes and slept for about 9 hours continuously.
If only every evening could be like this lol.
Mood ok.
Feel PEACE is really helping me to brush off stressors that would previously have flared up my stress levels massively.
Long may it continue lol

Day 12 (PEACE custom)
Last night, fell asleep too early, slept a couple of hours, then woke up.
Slept again around 12.30am and woke up around 8.30am due to noise outside.
Could conceivably have slept for 9 hours if not for the disturbance.
Time with gf is good in various ways, but also very draining.
PEACE & Paragon Sleep help with this, but I find it’s still a big drain on my energy and a strain on my nervous system.

Another note. In the last 5 days or so, I feel like the gratitude feeling is battling against some internal resistance. Unless I consciously make myself mentally list things to be grateful for, it’s not really happening as naturally as it was in the first few days.

Normal recon/integration process I guess, bumping up against scarcity mindset and negativity.
Wishing I’d left the Inner Voice module in when I was designing this custom and going through a process of elimination to reduce size and increase focus.
Anyway, no more changing mid-cycle; just stick at it and let the custom do its work.

I’ve observed internal thoughts and emotions of bitterness coming up. I can’t remember exactly what they were concerning now. Probably money or my parents.

My dad died a couple of months ago. My mother a couple of years before that.
Complicated emotions about it all.
I’ve noticed thoughts of them popping into my head, along with sensing some deep emotions under the surface. But not diving into deep sadness or pain.
This seems like the PEACE module, the one about stirring up the mud/silt and letting it settle.
Letting emotions rise and peacefully dissipate.

Feel like I’m in the difficult stage of processing stuff right now.
Haven’t been posting here for 4-5 days.
Sleep has been up and down like a Michelin Man on a pogo stick.
Just 4 hours last night, 6 hours the previous night, 9 hours before that, 6 hours before that.
Mood has mostly been down or neutral.

The PEACE effect is strange but good.
As mentioned, my mood hasn’t been great.
Mainly I feel bad about not taking any action towards my goals.

But the whole reason I decided to drop my Emperor & PEACE custom and just run a PEACE custom instead was because I felt like Emperor was making me feel a push to take action, but my demand avoidance flared up and then I didn’t take any action, and the more I felt pushed, the more my demand avoidance flared up, and it was all affecting my mood and I stopped even the good habits I’d started whilst running Wanted previously (gym, in particular).

So my feeling at the time was that I should just stop with the pushing and take some time out for self-care and to work on healing my dysregulated nervous system.

My reasoning being that the more healthy and regulated my nervous system, the more resilient I would be and the more capacity I would have (for everything).

Also because I believe my dysregulated nervous system is a result of childhood abuse, and my demand avoidance is part of a defence mechanism designed to keep me ‘safe’ and avoiding discomfort, fear or insecurity of any kind.

I can see that’s not serving me and I wish to heal and grow beyond that, but actually doing so is proving very difficult indeed.

Oh yeah, I kind of got sidetracked there lol.
So I was talking about PEACE and its effects.
Although my mood has been not great, I do still feel that PEACE is helping me to calm down my nervous system and be less affected by things that would have stressed me out before.
For example, being in a cafe to relax and have a coffee, and someone letting their baby cry for ages, or their children run around making loads of noise or whatever.

I’m not averse to children or babies for the record, just with autism I am sensitive to noise, chaos and repeated banging sounds for example, so I can feel my stress levels shooting up in situations like that.
But I’ve found myself remarkably better at dealing with it in the last week or two

Oops, sorry, I meant to reply to this the same day!
Well, I can see what you’re asking.
If I were coaching someone, it’s the kind of question I would ask too lol.

Well, for the completely honest answer, my reaction when reading that was:
“Yeah, there’s no way I could stick to just one sub. ALL of the things are super-important; how could I possibly choose between them”.

And there’s truth in that for sure. Obviously good sleep is critical.
I feel so is a regulated and calm nervous system, especially with demand avoidance, autism, chronic fatigue etc. So I’d say that’s critical as well.

And I had dropped Emperor, but I could say that for me, achieving financial freedom is equally urgent and important (to me, for a whole bunch of reasons, mainly involving freedom and choices).

But you know what? If someone said “you can only choose one custom and we’re going to take all the others away”… I would choose to keep my Wanted & Diamond custom.
Priorities, schmiorities

I suppose I could justify that by saying that there’s various practical things I could do, including relatively extreme actions, to improve my sleep and regulate my nervous system.
But conversely, whilst there are definitely things I can do to move towards the objectives of Wanted and Diamond, I feel that they are offering something amazing that I would probably struggle to obtain consistently without them.

And that’s not to say that Paragon Sleep and PEACE aren’t offering something amazing, because they certainly are

But yeah, that’s my answer. Not the answer I think people might prefer to hear, or the answer that might make me look good, just the unvarnished truth lol.
