Exploring the depths of my mind to acquire wealth - OLOY

People are blind.

They can’t see the consequences of their actions…

even when it slaps them in their teeth.

Then I look at myself…

I see myself self-sabotaging.

Trying my hardest to escape success.

Even though the path to success has never been this clear.

Turns out:

I am that guy wid 0 foresight.

I am the one blinded by my biases.

Lets change the gears a bit.

What kind of real world action are you taking to achieve your wealth goals?

I suffered from perfectionism. Only after I got it through my thick skull that there is no perfect system I can build and just started launching, did I get forward with my goals.

Here is my very simple daily routine:

  1. Study a twitter course (make notes)
  2. When i’m bored:
    a) Introspect on my limiting beliefs that r preventing me from going where i want.
    b) Introspect on what i learnt from the course.

I do this while being around my family and spending time wid them.

Also, I have this weird habit where I stop studying then procrastinate or daydream if i feel like:

  1. I’ve learnt enough for the day.
  2. I’ve introspected and cleared enough limiting beliefs for the day.

Routine after I finish the twitter course:

  1. engage in twitter about 3 hrs a day (more or less).
  2. study marketing
  3. introspection (as mentioned above)

Okay.

Can you tell me your goals? Short/medium/long term?

What do you plan on doing with these skills? Marketing is a big topic, do you have a concrete goal that you are studying marketing for?

I’ll see if I can provide you with some more direction, so that you do not have to go through what I went through… I learned a lot, but it took me years before I got any real results. I don’t want you to “waste” a decade, if I can help you avoid that.

And here again the disclaimer: I will not sell you anything, nor am I looking for a business partner. I just enjoy talking with people interested in building a business. I might recommend some resources, but I am not affiliated with anyone, nor do I make any money out of it.

Hey, thanks for taking your time to reply.
I really appreciate it.

Here is my plan:

  1. get alot of followers.
  2. sell coaching or digital products.

I’m focusing on step 1 only right now.
If step 1 works then step 2 will be easy especially wid subclub subs.

The part of marketing I want to learn is lead generation.
So, i’ll study 100M leads book and course by alex hormozi.

I like twitter coz if i put in the work (build a brand), I can get free traffic and figure out what I want to sell after I build an audience.

Which is probly the reverse of a traditional business where I build a product first then find an audience.

Sounds good.

How long have you been following this plan? And what’s the minimum time you commit yourself to this?

I did twitter for about 20 days experimenting different styles, learning copywriting etc etc.

After I had tested my every hypothesis on growing wid twitter (and it not working coz I lacked the fundamental mindsets of achieving success), I got some courses.

Turns out burning out is my major problem along wid being too flexible.

I’m about to finish one of the courses then i’ll follow the course’s instructions rigourously till success.

I actually don’t have a time limit coz the skills I learn are valuable in themselves (I think). Whether that skill is a hard skill like copywriting, storytelling or intrapersonal skill of not giving up when times get tough etc.

Do u think this is a good way to go forward? Or should I have a time limit?

And the change I go through while running subs and taking action makes the journey always new (Its never boring).

The reason I asked is because most people give up way too early.

I think a good rule for the courses in general is: First try it exactly the way it tells you to. Only after that start changing the system.

There is a huge trap for “too smart” people. They tend to think that they can make it better. Without trying it first. This was my biggest mistake, back then.

Yes, exactly.

I’m realising that hitting one strong punch on a vital point (following a good system will full vigor upon it) is better than throwing multiple punches all over the body (trying out different systems (even if they initially seem to have an higher ROI initially)).

How do u think is the best way of seeing problems in the industry so that i can create solutions and build a business upon it?

Twitter seems to be a good way of doing this… Thats another reason why I want to build a brand on twitter.

What do u think?

Honestly, having conversations with people in your target market is the best way. Once you have a relationship with them, you’ll know what their problems are.

Figure out one, “easy to solve” solution that no one has yet built. And then offer it to them.

Actually scratch that. It doesn’t matter if someone has already built it. It’s just your job to get them to buy it. It’s better if someone has already built it. Just improve on it a tiny bit. See what the people are complaining about regarding the other products and fix just that “flaw”.

Go simple in the beginning. You just need to get money coming in. With that money you can build more complicated solutions.

Simple, quick to launch solution that solves a problem that people are willing to pay for. Do not overcomplicate it. Simple, simple, simple.

Getting people to buy it means marketing.

So is it wise to get better at at least one marketing tool even before thinking of an offer?

Or do u think cold dming people after learning a way to generate possible leads (i have a course on lead generation that i have not checked out) is the best marketing way to go at least in the beginning?
