Malkuth: The subconscious mind does not simply sit quietly waiting for you to take action. It sends you repeated invitations, suggestions, and opportunities for taking action.
Yes. In my posts, I use the term Nudges .
In that, We’re both saying the same thing. Because…
“ Taking action on the mind’s suggestions ” is clearly not “ Waiting for the sub to kick in ”.
We assume the sub is already working, not that one day it will have me programmed completely - and I will be Richard Branson because I listened to EOG Stage 4 for 10,000 Hours.
raphael:
a thought which gains “density” (through subliminals for example) finally manifests into action.
In concept, I like this. I’d love it if there was evidence of it. Unfortunately…
That is not how the relationship between the Conscious and the Subconscious Mind works.
A nudge from the SubC does not get louder, when NOT acted on - in fact, it’s volume diminishes and STOPS .
Even an idea does not develop into a plan without conscious work.
Self-Belief / Confidence is strengthened when we take Conscious Real World Action.
The more one waits, the more he ruminates. It is the doubts that get louder.
At worst, waiting amplifies on the user’s identity of being a loser / victim.
At best, it builds the case for “these subliminals don’t work for me” .
@raphael, I speculate that you’ve experienced this with your Fiction Writing goal.
When you started UA/QL, had you started writing even 100 words every morning - a scene, a short story, a retelling of a TV ad, a character description, anything - then, by now, you’d be cranking out 5000 words a day.
Do you still have nudges - ideas for writing? or do you have more reasons why you’d fail?
or worse, thoughts about writing do not even occur to you everyday! (The SubC has given up on the goal, it believes that you don’t take it seriously.)
I don’t know what health challenges you have, but if Jon Morrow can write - what’s your excuse!
@Malkuth, you have that Ox frame about yourself. So you’re cool with listening for 1 year with little results. How many other customers do you think will do that?
Most people do not meditate, journal, or reflect. They don’t even notice if their beliefs are somewhat changing. We see this even in the online journals.
Our Biology, Habits, and Environments are anyways geared to homeostasis .
Constantly reminding users to Take Action is necessary because most of us cannot distinguish between “a cloud gaining greater substance” and Inertia .
Edit: Quoting this here for myself to feel complete.
Looking for advice what to run
[SC Subs] are designed to work WHEN the user takes action.
They help you LEARN and ADAPT faster than you would by yourself.
The question I ask my offline friends before they invest in a Subliminal is:
Would you be willing to start TODAY - to do everything it’ll take to achieve your goal,
if there was NO subliminal to support you on it?
