Does anyone know if DSP(digital signal processing) affect the subliminal?

headphones are getting better and better and it can definitely improve music quality, but do we know if it affects or distorts subliminals? or maybe it even makes it better?
As this site states Ultimate Guide to DSP Audio - Headphonesty : In addition to improving the dynamic range of the audio, DSP also has the ability to improve the frequency range. In other words, you can hear higher highs and lower lows.

I am in the process of buying new headphones and have my eyes on some DSP ones.

thank you to any who are knowledgeable in this field!

Personally I’d stay away from anything that “enhances”. DSP has a broad range of uses. But generally when it comes to these subs I use a listening medium that’s as flat and accurate as possible so the intended audio Saint and Fire crafted comes across as intended. They’ve done a lot of research and testing.

Curious to know what headphones you were looking at?

yea I think that is probably true but maybe Saint and Fire had done some research on it, that’s why I asked.
I was looking at MoonDrop Quarks DSP, but I might go for the 7hz Salnotes zero then or the Tangzu wan er.

Yeah you can always put in a support ticket too if you haven’t. It’s a good question

Personally I’m a little biased against DSP. Im of the belief you can’t enhance what isn’t there already. If drivers perform poorly in headphones, compensating with eq and various processing methods only serves to cover up what was lacking. So if headphones have built in DSP that enhances the audio but you can’t turn off, you’re not getting the true representation of how the drivers are performing. At best people can customize their experience. At worst you’ve got companies pushing out “DSP headphones” that use the lowest quality components to save on manufacturing.

But that’s my opinion. Coming from a bit of a music production background preserving the signal chain as much as possible is my priority.
