Thanks for the welcome and for all the feedback! I’ll try to sum it up in this post before deciding what I should do. I’ll first go through the refinement suggestions you gave for my list of modules and after that discuss the alternate solutions you gave to my problems.
First Psiklou suggested removing the modules RAIKOV, Stillmind and The Streams, on the basis that I must have some capacity for thinking already. That may or may not be true, but I don’t think a little extra processing power ever hurt anyone. Stillmind and The Streams are also described to have synergistic properties. Nevertheless, I’m beginning to feel that RAIKOV is not needed as everything it teaches is already a requirement for proper science. Boosters Mosaic and Deus were seen as unnecessary, by many of you, so I’m very inclined to take them out. Blue Skies on the other received recommendations to both keep it in and take it out. It’s quite a mysterious module to me, so if anyone can enlighten me on how it works, I’d be happy to learn.
Ironclaws made some new recommendations, suggesting I take out Book Blitz, Joie de Vivre, Pragya and The Merger of Worlds. I agree with removing Book Blitz completely, because I can read fast enough as it is, the real problem is sometimes not having the motivation to read. Joie de Vivre is important to me personally, because joy is something that is sorely lacking in my work currently. Pragya and the Merger of Worlds are again boosters, the importance of which I don’t really know. Is the potential increase in effectiveness worth discarding some other effect? I wondered about Ironclaws’s suggestion about Elixir CORE. I thought that it was recommended to include only two cores per custom sub and I already have LE and Heartsong.
Ouroboros suggested removing Transcendental Connection, Energetic Development and Focused Arousal. I’m not sure about Transcendental Connection as other people thought it was important and it apparently has some synergy with Soul Connection. I agree with Energetic Development and Focused Arousal as the first seems to have some focus on manifestation, which is not what I am after, and the second was never very important to me. He also suggested removing Machine: Action, due to overlapping with LE and others. Which makes sense, but I’d like to know how much there is unnecessary overlappage or can this module boost the effectiveness of LE.
Oloy discussed the same thing in his post: how much do the modules actually boost the effect of LE and Heartsong? I got the impression from his post that necessarily not much, but perhaps I could find out by stacking the major titles themselves and feel what is lacking. The suggestion is good, and I confess I haven’t tested them yet, but at the same time this exercise seems a bit difficult for a beginner like me and of course it costs a little extra.
Seneca returned to the redundancy topic, suggesting that only one of Productivity unleashed, victory’s call and carpe diem is needed. If I made that choice, it would be a hard choice between Productivity unleashed and Victory’s call as procrastination and avoidance are both my weaknesses. I guess I’d lean towards Victory’s Call. Seneca also recommended all other relationship modules than Heartsong, Transcendental Connection and Blue Skies, which is very interesting considering that others thought TC and BS worth dropping. Who is right here?
Lastly Seneca discussed the tendency to include lots of modules when less would do. What I would like to know is what exactly happens when more modules are added. Does the marginal benefit just decrease module by module, or are too many modules actually less effective than a smaller number would be?
Then about the alternative solutions. There were three suggestions:
- Use one core/major title that would answer both of my problems. Suggested cores were Khan Black, Sanguine Elixir, Stark, Genesis, Emperor: HOM, Primal.
- Stack Heartsong and LE major titles, or better yet, build two customs using them as foundation.
- Heartsong + (Divine) Diamond custom and regular store LE.
I think there at least four questions that should be answered to know if these solutions make sense.
- How much less effective are single core solutions at addressing my problems for which I feel LE and Heartsong are very much tailor-made?
- Joa23 mentioned that a custom with LE and Heartsong seems too diffused. It’s true that my two problems are very different in nature. However is there a large technical difference in listening one custom sub with both subjects versus listening two major titles or custom subs with same subjects?
- How much less effective is store LE compared to custom sub with LE core?
- Do I have enough room in my stack for options 2 and 3 considering that I want to keep using my first Paragon-based custom sub?
Okay, this was a big post and I didn’t even cover every point you made in the thread. Hopefully you have patience to read through it and answer some of my questions. Thanks again!
