Building a foundation?

Over the last six plus years I’ve seen and read people discussing the importance of building a foundation before moving onto what may be considered more advanced titles. If I’m correct building a foundation is mentioned in several of the sales pages

What does a foundation mean to you all?

Certified lack of foundation here. I’ll list some things that are essential to me.

To me a foundation consists of the following

  • Good emotional regulation. Life has ups and downs, if you’re swept off your feet every time something happens you won’t go far
  • Being able to identify emotions and use those as a roadmap to make informed decisions.
  • Setting strong boundaries. Having the ability to either prevent or cut out abusive or toxic people from your life. The best way to deal with toxic situations is to never find yourself in one
  • Strong trust in yourself. Not everything that comes our way in life will have certainty. In those moments it’s important to be able to trust yourself to take the risk and know whatever happens you’ll end up ok.
  • Ability to accept help and support. Hyper independence is overrated. You’ll get further in life having a support system that helps you either work through issues or present you with opportunities that were otherwise outside of your reach.
  • Knowing who you are at your core. You might not have the whole picture, but it’s important to know why you’re pursuing something or driven to do something. If you’re not intimately familiar with yourself you risk going down paths that are just a result of other people talking in your ear.

In my opinion when all of these are combined you can land in any situations or scenario and figure out a way to make it work. It’s like having a swiss army knife but for life.

I wish I had this lol

Emotional healing and Ascension baby. The two are not mutually exclusive though, Ascension has had a subtle/indirect healing effect on me IME. Probably because I always struggled with vocalizing my opinions out of fear for being shunned wrongfully. Now I embrace that risk, and only welcome those who welcome me and my opinions, even if they disagree. Like a mini-Khan I guess.

So what do you run to get that? In your opinion?

Gonna be totally biased here because I’m about to start running it again lol. But I think Sanguine. For building that emotional stability, but also fostering enough calm and peace for your deeper self to emerge. There’s a very detached sensation you get when you’re stuck in survival mode. I think metaphorically putting out the fire before you go for super deep healing is beneficial. This is totally my opinion, but I feel deep healing titles are best suited when you do already have that emotional ground work to face what comes up and integrate it. Otherwise it’s like stacking issues on issues.

@Fractal_Explorer You’re most likely correct. There’s been many times I have asked myself that if I did more foundational work that my almost disturbing obsession with Dragon Reborn will manifest exponentially?

I’ve been on a loooooong road with subs and healing and made a lot of mistakes with it in the past. My philosophy has changed a lot. I strive for good enough vs perfect. Like what’s the bare minimum I have to do to get this life up and running and feeling good? Some of us have so many psychological hangups, it’s like you just can’t hit it all, you can’t. I feel like I came out the gate in a deficit and if I don’t focus on improvements and actually enjoying life I’ll drown in a sea of all the stuff I wish had gone better in my life. I’ve just honestly never had much luck with healing as the center focus, kept me going around in circles.

Supposedly it is the ideal life that you wanted to have. the inner structure that helps you live your life with less stress and overwhelm. Unfortunately most people do the opposite.

If you’ve have been mindful in your own experienced you’ll noticed what you really are.

We are attracted to what we are holding in our thoughts, if we quickly react on the lack, blame, complain, then you know what you’ll be having.

We need to acknowledge the things that we don’t want in our lives to give them less power to control us.

DRR helps me become aware on those things. I acknowledge, journal them - then whenever I encounter those thoughts again my mind will quickly do the opposite. I can still fail on things that I do but each time I fail it makes me a better person, a much stronger person.

I feel like a foundation Is set when you have more moments in your day to day life where you feel more sure of yourself and not constantly doubting yourself in each situation.

When you’re able to bounce back quicker from a situation that could potentially hurt your self esteem and confidence. Basically brush things off

In addition to running subs I’d recommend working on raising your testosterone levels. Foundational aspects that you seek will naturally flow through you the higher T you have. Atleast that has been the case for me

I really agree with what @Fractal_Explorer wrote.
In addition i would say very important is a daily structure that supports nervous system regulation and serves as a safetly net when reccon hits.

I am just building that up, but it completely changed my life.
Morning ritual, get up at the same time every day. Cold shower in the morning, one hour no phone, do for e.g. 30 mins does things that i dont like to do…admin stuff…cleaning etc.

Evening ritual, go to bed when body shows signs of tiredness, listen to signals of the body also regarding food, stop overeating and food thats not good for the body. 1 hour before bed no more electronics. Maybe some yoga and a hot bath.

Getting rid of bad habbits. NOW. Getting rid of fast dopamin.

For me building the foundation is all about getting into a state of life where i continously make steps forward rather than making a step forward and the one backwards.

Having people to talk to when in a bad emotional state, so i dont do dumb choices and make steps back.

For me establishing an open mind.

If you already have strong limiting beliefs about life, your true capabilities and about your being there will be no room for new way of thinking to come in.

Also i would like to state that this question depends on what your goals are…
