Best time to go from title to custom?

I’ve seen ppl recommend running a title before you use its core in a custom.

I am wondering when is a good time to switch from the main title to a custom with that titles core. Is there a recommendation for how long to wait?

Generally, people here recommend to run a major title at least 3 cycles.

I’d think of it as less a question of a particular length of time and more a question of experience and desired focus.

One way to think of customs is as ways to refine or modify your results.

Here’s one way to approach it:

Run a major title until you feel confident about how it works for you. You like it. You experienced results (experience). You want to take it farther and you want to apply it in a particular way (desired focus).

Now you’re ready to include it in a custom.

I went and bought a Muay Thai mastery spartan custom without listening to the first one ever and the second one in zp ever. Depends on how well you know yourself

If you’re budget-conscious, then it’s best to run the main store title for at least 3 cycles. I used to make customs without listening to the main title longer for a month and I’d realize it wasn’t what I actually wanted. Plans change sometimes.

It was even terminus the first iteration of my custom. It gave me everything I needed and wanted. I ended up remaking it with slightly different modules (4-5) and not terminus. It wasn’t that I didn’t believe in terminus but it was so that I can run it more times during the week (I enjoy the acute effect of the custom, the first training following a listen is always godmode focus and intention)

Same here. @Yazooneh is right.

I have definitely played customs with Major Program cores that I had not yet run. Works just fine. After all, think about it. Your custom will be filled with Q-Store modules that you did not get to play first before ordering your custom. They all work.

But “the best time to go from a title to a custom” was the question.

And like the others have said, it’s more a question of knowing yourself, knowing the goals to which you’re strongly committed, and knowing what you want. Some people are benefited by taking more time to become certain about those things. And that’s a good idea.
