Best Sub for Shadow Work

My fiancee started her Dopamine Detox together with me and it worked miracles.
One path she took was shadow work. She’s been writing hours over hours. Rewarding work, I’d say. Now she’s looking for a sub to support this endeavor.
She’s listening to LB, DRLD and Genesis atm.

She wants the sub to help her cope with her emotions, to find her true authentic self (probably influence of Genesis), to understand, embrace and integrate her shadow parts more easy.

I narrowed it down to:

  • Phoenix
    For it’s emotional intelligence scripting

  • Revelation of Mind
For understanding herself to the core

  • Alchemist: Singularity
To unify polar opposites in her interior. I think everyone knows desires that contradict each other. I can’t pinpoint it exactly, but reading it’s copy it felt absolutely fitting for the job.

Dragon Reborn Red/Gold is not an option. Firstly she feels it’s to much, secondly, I can’t afford it atm :joy:. Also it’s more of an healing subs, where she’s more looking for a understanding her inner working.

But I’m open for all recommendations, advice and opinions.

Edit
Including other subs I don’t have on my radar

Btw, her depression seems mostly gone. She’s now much happier and much more balanced than 2 months ago. And you would not recognize her from my post a year ago.

Revelation of Mind. For the unfolding.

Phoenix really helped me.

Daredevil helped me to begin writing more and reduce social anxiety. My mood improved too.

The bloom effect has been amazing. I keep writing and making content.

Those weren’t among the 3 choices given

RoM is more about mental exploration, whereas RoS emphasizes profound self-reflection. To me, RoM is akin to “Limitless,” but focuses on expanding the mind rather than the spirit.

Dragon Reborn Red is the premier shadow work program. If she feels it too much, you’d go with micro-loops spaced farther apart until the stimulus becomes manageable.

But how do you know that she feels it too much if you don’t already own it?

After that my second choice would be any of the Revelation programs: Spirit, Mind, or Dreams. The Unfolding process will, sooner or later, contact unacknowledged material within one’s mind or self. But need to be patient and apply conscious guidance (by, for example, engaging in shadow work kinds of activities).

A third strategy would be to first identify an issue that is in her shadow, e.g., competition, conflict, pride, vulnerability, spiritual life, relationship with nature, etc., and then just work with the program related to that issue. Shadow work doesn’t always have to be so complicated.

Finally though, and maybe most importantly, as someone who has been working through and overcoming depression, recognize that she has already been engaging in shadow work. There is no way to face depression without doing major shadow work. She’s probably becoming quite accomplished in this area already.

So one approach I would recommend would be to keep on doing exactly whatever she’s been doing that has been working so well.

The silver lining of having depressive tendencies is that it means your mind is brave and talented when it comes to finding and facing shadow material. Rather than a sub to make that happen even more, might make more sense to play programs that aid in coping with it and alchemizing it into wisdom and wellbeing.

The OP has 3 things which were presented as the options to pick from. RoS isn’t there.

I believe RoS would be a better choice, that’s all. :grinning: :+1:

Shadow Work is like Dragon Reborn Red. I prefer Love Bomb before anything else.

or Just wait for Genesis: The Art of Happiness and Joy, since she’s already on a Genesis title

Love Bomb is part of her stack already.
RoS still was amongst the top 5. Why do you think it’s better? I was leaning towards RoM because it’s all about the mind, connecting the conscious and the unconscious. And that’s where the shadow has to hide.

So why RoS? I’m open to the suggestion, but I’d like to understand your reasoning.

The way I understood her, she didn’t want a healing sub, only something that’s supporting her seeing, embracing and understanding the shadow.

I think it was from the warnings in the copy.
Also I can’t afford it right now. I could afford a single title without problems, but DRR is a bit to much.

Any favorite for this use Case?

That what she’s doing every day. Writing down and reflecting whatever arises. Any negative emotion, feeling, thought, self talk, etc. Then she reflects on it, in written form.

And she plans on keeping that practice. It’s just that she would like some subliminal help to accelerate the process.

Sounds like genesis. If she keeps on running it, it will give her that exactly. Her stack looks great already. Maybe let her re-read the genesis description and let her know she already has what she feels lacking.

Emperor Black literally mentions shadow work. Check it out if her goals align with the title…

The best thing to do would be to see which program description she responds to the most positively. Let her own subconscious guide the choice of which program is most timely for her. All 3 Revelation programs can work equally well for a hypothetical "user“. Your girlfriend is not a hypothetical user. She is a specific person who is at a specific point in her life right now.

Which program brings up the strongest feelings of excitement or inspiration or purpose when she hears about it? That may be the right one to go with.

I purchased Emperor Black about a year ago but felt anxious about diving into it at the time. As a parent, I know how challenging it can be to focus deeply on something while managing interruptions from kids.

After several cycles with DD in my stack, I actually started writing an erotic romance novel and have completed six chapters so far!

Now that I’m more balanced in juggling my business, passions, and parenting, I might revisit Emperor Black again briefly. Isn’t it typically recommended for short-term use and in small doses?

Yes, that’s what the copy says.

Shadow work is not really necessary if you do light work imo but if you drawn to it…
