Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming - no progress

Greetings,

what follows now is a detailed description of my daily and nightly practice, in order to „prevent“ questions if I really do my work to achieve an Astral Projection or to become a frequent lucid dreamer.
Believe me that I read way more than a hundred of books and follow those guidelines for a long time now.

Let’s start:

I try to experience a conscious OBE since many years, and also work on lucid dreaming.

Besides dream journaling and a high number of reality checks throughout each day I also use supplements (Huperzine or Galantamine with Choline and / or Alpha GPC and others, not every night of course, as I follow some recommended guidelines how to use them), I have natural WBTBs each night (waking up several times without intention or alarm clock, it just happens), I remember up to 6 dreams each morning, I am „on the spiritual path“ since some years and practice daily meditation, I AM-awareness and other (occult and eastern) practices and rituals, and I read specifically astral projection- and lucid dreaming literature each evening before going to bed, to program my subconscious.

I fall asleep each evening with practices like phasing (watching at the blackness before my eyes) combined with I AM-awareness and / or affirmations, I try to not move while waking up, and of course I do WBTB-techniques during the nights while dozing off.
I also do a 1 hour-Astral Projection mediation each afternoon, following the Astral Dynamics-approach from Robert Bruce, with binaural beats.

From time to time I already lost my motivation and stopped all together or calmed down, sometimes for days, sometimes for weeks, also knowing that you shouldn’t try too hard and that many people start to experience something, suddenly, as soon as they stop and give up.

Lastly, I purchased here the Subliminals Astral Projection X, Dreams / Revelation of dreams, Ascension chambers and Sage Immortal.
These I use during my daily meditations, following the rule to make a break after a day and to only listen to 2 subs in one session.
Actually, I stick to AP X + Revelation of dreams, but I also had a lot of months where I had some combinations with the other subs.

Okay. Thanks for reading all this.

My results so far:
I had 14 or 15 lucid dreams, which I am happy about. But, they only lasted some seconds, I still was not able to handle my excitement as soon as I became lucid, still working on this.
I had one conscious exit, one evening while chanting the mantra FARAON. It only lasted 2 seconds and was extremely blurry, rather like a hypnagogic image than a real OBE-experience.
This one happened over a year ago….

I don’t understand why I just don’t get better, why I only experience a sudden, spontaneous lucid dream every 6-8 weeks, and why I don’t achieve any kind of WILD / OBE / AP despite all the work you are supposed to do.
After many years now (more than 8).

What’s wrong with me?
Is it possible that my Higher Self just doesn’t allow me to experience it?

Or, coming back to you, does this sound somehow familiar and you achieved your first AP after listening to Subliminals?
If so, is there any approach (with Subliminals) that you would recommend? Should I listen to them in a specific way or in another combination?

Thanks!
:beers:

Try plant medicine to bridge the gap. Some people, even on a spiritual path, are meant to focus more on the physical than the non-physical and plant medicine in the proper setting and context can be a way to make a connection with the metaphysical. Beyond that try and practice what you would do in a “lucid dreaming” or “astral” situation in your imagination in your waking life.

We’re not here to deny someone’s beliefs, especially about something that exists in the store for a reason.

Ok @Brandon i deleted

Thanks for the suggestions!

The second one (imagining what I would do) is part of my daily and nightly practice, the visualized „action plan“ as it called (and recommended) in books.

Regarding the first one (plants) I already tried mugwort, Calea Z. (Mexican dream herb) and Silene U. (African dream herb), each one separately for several weeks.
Unfortunately they didn’t have any impact on my dreams or dream recall.

If you know another one that helped you, I’m glad to hear about!

Huperzine?

This one I take frequently, as well as Galantamine (even though it’s hard to get without receipt in my country).
I follow the supplement-guidelines from the book „Advanced Lucid Dreaming - The Power of Supplements“ from Thomas Yuschak (though I already experimented a lot with those pills, for example taking them in the evening instead of during a WBTB)

As far as plant medicine I meant the likes of an Ayahuasca ceremony, or plant-adjacent: psilocybin mushrooms. If not legal in your country, and you are serious enough about this desire you can always travel somewhere it is.

Also had Galantamine and it just gave me a headache.

That’s certainly an interesting idea and something I will keep in mind.

In my case it’s rather insomnia if I take it during the night, but at least some vivid dreams when I manage to fall asleep in the morning. ^^

Thanks for your insights!

Yes, I also came to understand (and it’s confirmed in some books) that Reality Checks don’t trigger lucidity - instead, you spontaneously become lightly lucid and then do a RC in order to become fully lucid and confirm that it’s a dream.

I think best way to trigger lucidity in dreams is to become lucid when awake.
Gnosis emphasizes that point in particular, in many spiritual books it’s written that one has to wake up while awake (being aware) in order to wake up while asleep.
As above, so below.
If you are asleep during day, so you are in your dreams.
I already practice that (self)all-day-awareness as often as I can, trying to be as often and long as possible in the I AM.
Meditation before bed / when going to bed is something I do every evening, besides my daily meditation practice.

My hope was that the Subliminals I bought here would help to influence my subconscious, as I obviously have some very serious stonewalling going on.

Your dedication is commendable, but remember that every individual’s journey to astral projection or lucid dreaming is unique.

Instead of focusing solely on external methods and supplements, explore internal practices like visualization and energetic alignment.

Trust the timing of your higher self and release any expectations or frustrations. Continue with the subliminals, but let go of attachment to specific outcomes.

Embrace the process and remain open to new possibilities.

Thank you for your wise advice.
You’re completely right. Pretty often I do get frustrated, and that’s something I still have to work on.
Sometimes I manage to let go and take it easy, to accept that it’s about the journey and not the goal, and that’s the daily mode one should achieve and maintain.

Thanks again for the reminder.

Before going to sleep I put my focus into a familiar object, and I can clearly describe this object without looking at it. This object serves as my anchor to become aware when I am inside my dream. It will take a good practice to do this.

If I lost my focus, I will lost control of my dream.

Lucid dreams are when you know that you’re dreaming while you’re asleep.
Meditation can help you a lot on lucid dream.

I don’t take any medicine while practicing lucid dreaming. Drinking milk or water will do.

The more controlled your dreams are, the life you have will be amazing.

Astral Projection (the science version call it OBE)
The science version says that a person can only experienced one OBE in his lifetime.
I have experience it when I fall off my bike on a swimming pool when I was just 5 years old (saw my body cpr and brought to life).

Then I took hold of a book on Astral Projection and my curiosity drag me somewhere.

You have to experienced AP to fully understand what it was.
I have tried this before but not with the subs.

In lucid dreams you can see your full human self, in AP you won’t have a body at all, you can be anywhere. But you can’t interact with things.

The book says that you have 10 minutes to go around (everywhere), I though it was a typo because when you are at this state, time does not make sense at all, I think it was referring to the body.

The body is generally clinically dead, so you need to go back, because without the soul it will not breath to life.

They mention in meditation, a lotus position, in a way to better push that energy to the top (in combination with breathing), and the OMM sounds, personally I don’t follow that. I use my grandma’s rocking chair (I put a brake on it so it will not move), I prefer it because it was comfortable. I have a unique way of meditating.

Importantly make sure everything is comfortable and make sure also no animals can bother you. Particularly the cat because it can sense your presence when you’re out there.

You will also discover that you may not be alone, so it is equally important that you understand the energies around you. It can also trigger a supernatural abilities from your childhood.
