Guys I have a question, both me and my sister have migraines often and I wanted to ask: how would I know if it’s recon or my usual migraine issue? Do I take my migraine pills and see if it’s affected or not?
Fellow migraine sufferer here.
Migraines can develop if I’m under tremendous stress and I’ve had this happen with too much exposure to subs.
To me there is no differentiation whether it’s sub or external. Food triggers can cause migraines for me, but I’ve noticed those types of triggers are really just a spike in cortisol levels and stress, so it’s all stress in the end for me.
Main point being, just treat the migraine with the pills. I’d think a migraine as a result of recon is a migraine regardless. It doesn’t really have a special meaning attributed to it.
Depends on what usually triggers a migraine… I get migraines from multiple sources - flickering lights, changes in atmospheric pressure, and even histamine responses from airborne allergens, red wine, certain preservatives in meat, and of course… extreme stress.
If none of those triggers are present, then it’s possible that it’s sub-related. One thing I can recommend is to take a good choline source. I use Phosphatidyl Choline, but there are several that will work. Just like intensely studying for a difficult exam, subs are taxing to the brain. This consumes certain neurochemicals… in this case, acetylcholine I hypothesize.
Many people comment how certain subs make them hungrier, sometimes eating more helps other times it does not. What matters is the specific nutrients the brain needs. Choline is found in lots of things, but since quality varies so much, I aim to get it solely from supplements and anything I do get from food is a bonus.
For avoiding sub-related headaches:
-have a consistent sleep schedule
-drink plenty of pure water with a good electrolyte in it (electrolyte once daily ought to be enough)
-take a choline source - 1000mg/day, adjust as necessary
-practice deep breathing, preferably in nature… a forest or park if available
-eat healthy fats - salmon, avocado, and other brain-boosting foods
Other ideas:
Finally, I’ve found meditation helps organize my thoughts each day, which I believe helps subs process and integrate better. I personally do the Z-technique from Emily Fletcher, but try whatever kind works for you.
Thank you I will look into this.
I took the pill and it feels much better now, I guess it got triggered because of how much I was playing today, some games can really stress you out a bit too much for no reason
