I know this may seem obvious considering cores are only 15$ and you can have up to three in a custom but are cores weaker than their store titles? Would they give the same exact results or has stuff been tripped down
Thing is: yes and no.
A core is basically the major title minus a primer.
Therefore something important is missing.
But since you can’t listen to a core alone it’s not important. When you’re building the custom the primer gets added back on.
Also concerning the price, you can license a core for 15 bucks, but to use it you have to build a custom with it and building alone is 99 bucks. And you can’t build a custom with just one element. IIRC you need at least 3 or 4. That makes all in all around 145$ fornthe cheapest custom.
it will give you most of the results tbh I never thought of “will my custom core NOT give me something…” and I prefer not to. Just sounds like another reason to worry about things that are not even a real issue
Obviously if you have one short term issue you want to fix, main title will do the job within few cycles. I like to use customs for things I know I want to run long term. With time and some patience, you will get all the results you wanted - doesn’t matter if it’s a custom or major imo
I would assume that major delivers you more quickly but then you have the QTKS customs - which might be even faster even though you have there multiple cores…?
I never built a custom so got a question.
When you license a core once do you own it?
In a sense that you can add them to your future customs too?
Or are you have to 99+15+15+15… everytime you build a custom.
Yes.
The price of the Core in the main store is less to make it easier to purchase and not because it’s a stripped down version of the main store title.
For ZP customs, the official recommendation is 2 Cores per custom. You can try with 3 but that will be experimental.
Also the name embedding helps with having more than 1 Core per custom and makes it work even though there is scripting of more than 1 title in a custom.
Add to that the primer scripting made to be one per custom.
Am sure there are more technical details which we don’t know about.
You can also usually discount rebuild a built custom, when components get upgraded.
What is a primer?
As far as I understand it, it’s comparable to the set piece in Hypnosis. It’s to prepare your mind optimally for subliminal input.
But perhaps @Lion can explain it better.
Good question. They aren’t weaker, but they are shorter because they don’t need much of the “support scripting” that goes into the major titles to ensure a smooth experience. It only has to be added once for the entire custom, which gives more space for the modules.
Keep in mind that unless you have experience with major titles, we don’t recommend including three cores.
The primer is the support scripting in every title. It’s the attributes that are common to every title — like developing a clear mind, or the free will scripting.
So if I listened to three majors for a few cycles each, it would be OK to include their cores into one custom? @SaintSovereign
For example, I’ve run 3 cycles of Genesis:Mogul, New Emperor and Nouveau Rich, so my subconscious knows them already and it would be rather safe?
It’s less about safety and more about the fact that it’s a rather dense custom and results may take longer to show up. Microloops usually solve this problem, increasing in listening time as you go along.
