I actually had a short dream about my upcoming trading custom. I gotta say, that’s a first for me. Here’s the interesting thing though, something found it important enough to ping me in my sleep and it actually woke me up. Not sure if anyone else has experienced something like this?

The dream told me (another telepathic event like that unusual dolphin one the other night) but it wasn’t any being this time. Just in my head. It told me to pull out Endgame Drive which is a module to overcome perfectionism.

I’ve always struggled with perfectionism but it really reared it’s head with my trading the last couple of years and it creates a form of procrastination. But this ping explained that it will cause me to force things in my trading right now and will mess with the healing that’s needed.

I didn’t think of that. Okay, now I’m thinking Saint has a direct line to my brain and alerted me,

Stonelike module makes sense. Emotional control is important in general given the crazy stuff in financial markets, world events, etc.

Sundial looks interesting too as well as Lazy Genius. These are more newer modules. (It has been a while since I used a custom.)

I think you can ignore my Informaticon module suggestion. A good handful of titles have something that manifests mentors, information that supports the title’s goals.

Sundial is very new. Maybe two months old, but I think barely a month old. Lazy Genius has been out a little bit, maybe 6 months to a year? I don’t recall when it came out.

I’m holding off on marketweaver for a little bit because there are more pressing things to work on. But I’m going to include that in a trading custom update that will be broader for investing. That’s a while off, maybe this time next year.

I love the idea of marketweaver just like I do Art of War or the Essence: Total War. They are excellent for trading and investing, not by themselves but if paired with RICH Trader or EOG, etc.

I hope I wasn’t overthankful on you suggesting Essence: The Inner Edge. It came out of left field and I would have missed it. I never heard Saint talk about it even being a possibility and I thought, dang I wish there was a module that just covered the personal psychology of trading and get rid of the other stuff I don’t need, and then you recommended it.

It felt like a true manifestation to me. The thing I’m most stoked about is now my trading custom is a very lean machine. Still needs to be worked but it cuts down the parts that would have bogged it down.

If you’re curious, here’s what I’m looking at with my custom trading sub

My Preliminary Custom Trading Sub
  1. New Wealth Experience Core (Core)
  2. Essence: The Inner Edge (Psychology part of RICH Trader ONLY)
  3. Inherited Wealth Stories (Wealth)
  4. Synergy: The Golden One (Wealth)
  5. Safety Net (Wealth)
  6. Sundial (Enhancement)
  7. Intuition Enhancer (Enhancement)
  8. Stonelike (Focus)
  9. Synergy: Harmonic Conflux (Spirituality)
  10. Mountain Breaker (Enhancement)
  11. The Lazy Genius (Productivity)
  12. Essence: The Inner Spa (Dragon Regeneration Condensed)

Nothing will be added. I’m waiting for recommendations on a couple of the titles. Ultimately I don’t want to bog anything down with the trading custom. Some of the added modules (basically enhancers) are related to dealing with stress in one way or another and with wealth and trading. Mountain Breaker can be used on anything.

Dang it. My Dodgers lost tonight. It wouldn’t have been so bad (it was 3 to 2) but they lost because of an error. That and because their offense has sucked the last month. They have one more game at Dodger Stadium then they head to Atlanta.

Sports, like other who like sports, is an outlet. But when your team has a sucky game than it’s not so much of an outlet. LOL. Oh well.

So the series is tied and anything is possible still.

Wow. Support is off the charts quick recently, but today takes the cake. I received a detailed response in just a couple of hours.

So it’s settled. I have both my custom healing sub and my custom trading sub all worked out. No overlap and they will mesh very well. I wanted to work it all out before I ordered the custom Healing sub.

I will never order a custom without consulting with support first. The custom Trading Sub I thought was clean, overall was except for one module which would have bogged it down considerably. That was Essence: The Inner Spa, which is Dragon Regeneration condensed. I forgot, it is truly a healing title and my upcoming custom healing sub is already very solid. So it was suggested to cut, and they explained why. Cut!

Everything else was suggested to keep and that it is a good, clean solid build that should work very well for my stated needs.

Here is the response from Support for future reference: BTW, they genuinely seem to like it if you give a short reason why you picked each module and what you hope it will accomplish. They don’t have to guess and they can affirm, add more detail or let you know it’s not a good fit.

Support Response

Hello,

Thank you for the detailed write-up. The build is clean and well aimed, and it sits well beside your healing custom. There is one cut we would suggest, and the rest of the build holds up. Here are your questions in order.

New Wealth Experience Core

Keep it. The NWE is already part of our wealth titles, but the core version made for customs carries more scripting than the version inside the titles. As the core, it means every wealth module in the build runs through the NWE. In your build that covers The Golden One, The Inner Edge and Inherited Wealth Stories. It also works on your relationship with money through everyday experience rather than through healing scripts, which suits a build that is meant to be about trading rather than processing.

The modules you marked as key

ESSENCE: The Inner Edge is the right centre for this build. It is built as the discipline-and-composure layer for an active trader, and it covers exactly the areas you named: pressure, closing a loss cleanly, sizing, and decisions made before the open.

Inherited Wealth Stories is a direct match for what you found. It works on the financial stories handed down to you and the hidden beliefs inside them, such as the idea that wealth makes a person take advantage of others. It also pairs well with Roots of Scarcity in your healing custom. Roots of Scarcity works on scarcity beliefs, and Inherited Wealth Stories works on the stories about wealth and wealthy people. They come at the same history from two sides.

Synergy: The Golden One stays. It is the wealth engine of the build.

The suggested cut: ESSENCE: The Inner Spa

The Inner Spa is distilled from Dragon Reborn: Regeneration. Its aim is rest, but it gets there by giving suppressed emotion room to surface and unwind. That is healing work, and your healing custom already carries it with PEACE as its core. Our guidance for an action-focused custom is to keep healing-leaning modules to one to three and let a dedicated healing title carry the rest. With Inherited Wealth Stories and Harmonic Conflux already in this build, The Inner Spa is the one that tips it over. Your instinct that it might be overkill was right.

Stress modules

Stonelike and Harmonic Conflux each do a different job, so both can stay. Stonelike works on the physical signs of stress in the moment, such as heart rate, breathing, sweating and shaking. For intraday trading, that is exactly where stress shows up. Harmonic Conflux clears stress that has built up over time and relaxes the body as a whole.

Safety Net can stay as well. It works on the worry about safety itself, and it also builds supportive influences around you. If you ever need a slot, it is the lightest of the stress modules to let go.

Timing and intuition

Sundial and Intuition Enhancer work well together. Sundial develops a sense for when a moment is ripe and the patience to wait for it. Intuition Enhancer makes your hunches clearer and more frequent. One note for trading: let intuition work inside your plan, not in place of it. The Inner Edge builds decisions made before the open and rules that act as guardrails. Intuition is most useful when it helps you read whether a setup is really ready, not when it talks you into a trade the plan did not call for.

Mountain Breaker

It is not redundant with PEACE. PEACE settles the system. Mountain Breaker goes after the obstacles between you and a specific goal. It works best with a couple of concrete, focused goals, so give it concrete targets rather than “confidence in trading” in general. For example, taking full-size positions when your plan calls for them, or holding a trade to its target.

The Lazy Genius

Keep it. It finds the small share of actions that produce most of the results and pushes you toward leverage, automation and efficiency. That is exactly what streamlining your trading process and pre-trading routine needs, and it will not weigh the build down.

That brings the build to eleven.

Running the two customs

Yes, run them on the same day. With two titles, the standard pattern is both titles on each listening day with a rest day in between, so there is no advantage to splitting them onto separate days. Your corrected alternative (the trading custom once a week and the healing custom twice, then swapped the next cycle) would still give each title less exposure than running both on every listening day, so same-day is the better pattern. Your Monday, Thursday and Saturday schedule keeps at least one rest day between listening days, so it fits the pattern.

You can also set the loop length for each title separately. If the healing custom needs to stay at 15 seconds while the trading custom feels easy, you can move the trading custom up on its own. Change one title at a time and give each change a few listening days. That way you can tell which title any reaction is coming from.

A cycle of Summertime on its own is a matter of preference, not a need. Your washouts are already the rest that is built into the system. If a change of pace appeals to you between rounds, it is a reasonable choice.

Best regards,

Support Team

So here is what the final Custom Trading sub will be:
The Sultan & Sage Trader

  1. New Wealth Experience Core
  2. Essence: The Inner Edge
  3. Inherited Wealth Stories
  4. Synergy: The Golden One
  5. Safety Net
  6. Sundial
  7. Intuition Enhancer
  8. Stonelike
  9. Synergy: Harmonic Conflux
  10. Mountain Breaker
  11. The Lazy Genius
    [END of build]

These two subs will be it for the next two years.

Support said it wasn’t needed because of washouts but I think I’ll still pause both subs about middle of the year and just run Summertime for a full round to give me a little rest from the healing.

I will order the healing sub next month. I will run it for a full round by itself. Nothing else. This was planned and is part of the reason why there are two wealth subs in the healing sub. One was to create a full healing arch of about 5 subs doing various things. The other was because I knew I was going to have to wait on the trading specific custom.

Honestly it works better this way.

Why I've been so focused on finalizing these subs?

This is how I’m wired with most things. I despise doing things half heartedly. I’m not saying I’m detailed in everything I do, but to a large extent this is how I’m wired.

There is a quirk of perfectionism which I was going to go after with Endgame Drive
but my dream last night pinged me and said NO WAY! The dream made absolute sense so that’s why it didn’t stay. I forgot to mention that it said that PEACE would handle that when it’s time.

Another reason why I’ve been preoccupied with the two custom subs, first it’s a learning process. I still love to learn new things. Two, these subs are going after the major roadblocks that are keeping me from successfully trading again.

The last reason is I didn’t want to make the healing sub and then work on the trading sub and realized that I got it wrong and then have to remake the custom healing sub. I wanted it down and then get down to brass tax.

I had AI come up with a pic for the healing sub. It’s not me, although I do have a mostly white beard, mine is very closely trimmed, plus I have salt and pepper hair, which I actually like.

I listened just before I went to bed. Sometimes this works out very well. Sometimes it works better if I listen earlier in the day. I’ll figure it out.

It worked out really well today listening just before I went to bed. I woke up for a brief moment because it’s an odd time of year where we can be warm during the day but quite brisk at night.

I kicked off my sheets in my sleep but woke up because I was cold. LOL. But I was deep in a dream. I don’t remember the details, nor any dream last night, or the one just before I woke, but they were there and they were healing dreams. And they were certainly working on some core areas, which is very good.

Woke up a little groggy today but nothing bad. I slept well and I slept deep. Once the grogginess wore off I felt really good. Relieved about something that my subconscious let go of. I have a very good idea of what it could be and it’s personal but it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.

When I went through the process of building my custom subs, one thing I learned is how powerful PEACE is. It does quite a bit by itself but if you have modules (I mistakenly refer to modules as “subs” sometimes if I don’t think things through :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) that stir things up, PEACE will help you work through it. Not necessarily right away, but quite often.

The trick though, at least for me, was to not have modules that really pushed or forced healing or personality changes, softer and gentler is better.

I am genuinely looking forward to how much I’ve changed and grown even one year from now, but especially two years from now.

Honestly, I’ve grown quite a bit in this last year. Here’s the crazy thing though. It still hasn’t been a year! It will be officially one year on November 21. I have nearly a month and a half still. It feels like it’s been longer than that, that’s for sure.

More healing dreams, yet I don’t remember a single one. Not sure why I don’t remember them? It’s a little odd, which is why I’m including this information in my journals.

I woke up a couple hours earlier than I normally would, and am not sure why I did. I checked the time and then fell right back to sleep. I knew that I had a dream just before I woke up and that I went to sleep right into another dream. I’m still confused as to why I don’t recall what they were about, but I do know the feelings of those dreams.

I’m not worried about it at all, just puzzled and it’s different than my norm.

I feel good today, like I have been lately. Calmer and calmer seems to be my demeanor now, as the days go by. Funny thing is though, my boundaries are getting much better and I am very quick to defend them. I’m not mean about it, I just don’t fight about it. There is no longer a struggle, or a fight. These are the borders. Any questions?

The only way I can explain the demeanor now is this, “These are my boundaries, you now know them, if you cross them I will instantly remind you and slam the door. You made the choice I didn’t. Now stop.”

I’ve mentioned it recently. That used to be natural to me as a manager but since I started trading solo, I actually softened up considerably. To be honest, I had to because you can’t fight the markets. You genuinely learn to be a follower. It’s when I started fighting things again, that’s what got me into trouble with the markets.

My Forex Trading Timeline

I quit my career job in mid 2005 and went full time with studying, demo trading, etc. I started real trading full time in January 2006.

I had developed a good strategy for everyday trading and did quite well. However, I learned one hell of a strategy for NFP (Non Farm Payroll) that made me a ton of money every single NFP without fail. UNTIL market manipulators caught on and started to increase the spreads 5+ minutes before NFP release.

The huge traders, big banks, very large hedge funds, etc, have NFP in their hands BEFORE public release. They aren’t supposed to trade that information before public release, but they always did. You would see a sudden move one way or the other about 30 seconds before the release. You could bank on this move 100%. It wasn’t a huge move, but was significant compared to the calmness before the release.

I would genuinely make upwards of $ 225,000 in less than an hour. Sometimes as quick as 25 minutes. Than I’d be done for that Friday and had fun on the weekend. And boy was Vegas fun during those times, especially as a local.

But times change. The markets change strategies over time. Look up Game Theory and you’ll understand why markets change. Simply stated, if too many people do the same thing and win, then there isn’t any money left to be made and there is no longer an edge. That’s very simplified, but also cuts to the chase as far as trading and investing.

Don’t follow the herd, follow the shepherd! That’s the best trading/investing advice I can give.

Many years ago I purchased a very good Remote Viewing program and a Remote Influencing program from Gerald O’Donnell, which I still have on CD

I did go through the Remote Viewing program and was decent at it (like anything, you have to practice to get better) but I got busy with other things. To be honest, the Great Recession.

Long story short, I receive emails from Gerald on occasion, some of which are quite odd IMHO (he channels to The One which he claims is God. Sort of reminds me of Esther Hicks with Abraham. It’s fine, just not my thing), but I digress, in this latest email he gave a printable wall chart with some very awesome things to remember how to truly live.

For example “Laughter is the best way to deny illusions, for illusions are pesky little creatures and cause uf to miss our total Truth.” There are a few others, most of which I really like.

I’ll share the pdf here:

A Silent Guide and Ode to RE-Membrance pdf

I like it. It vibed with me and this is good stuff to remind you how to live and be genuinely happy. I don’t agree 100% with everything on there, but overall, excellent advice.

What doesn’t jive with me? “I con-sume, therefore I con myself.” I get the jist, and overconsumption isn’t good, so that I can agree with. Hell, drinking too much water will kill you also. Take things in moderation.

But consumption allow us to get things we need AND circulates money. When we purchase subs here we are consuming. It helps us out and it helps the owners and founders out. When we gently consume on Amazon, or wherever, it is helping to employ people and drive the economy.

OVERconsumption isn’t good. So if a person needs to con-sume to feel better about themselves, then indeed “I con-sume, therefore I con myself.” absolutely is a fitting thing to say.

I guess it depends on a person’s angle on how they look at something. And ultimately, PEACE is peeling those layers back, one layer at a time.

Money. Many different angles to look at it. Money is the root of all evil? No. Assholes are. The same asshole can pick up a rock and take someone’s life. Don’t blame the rock. Blame the asshole behind the rock.

Money is a tool. A tool that EVERYBODY needs and uses. Those who want to tax successful people to give it to those who don’t have, and then turn around and claim money isn’t important to them, well then, why are you focused on money still? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

So people like that are saying THEIR money isn’t important to them, but other people’s money is.

I genuinely wanted to add Essence: The Alchemy of Money to my trading build because it is very important to help heal wealth issues and ultimately help with trading and investing, but it would have actually slowed my progress right now.

When I reach a certain milestone with my trading, which will be AFTER I move to Arizona and specifically when I get a second home in Sedona, that’s when I’ll build a custom investing module. I’ll include the Alchemy of Money then, or even the full Revelation of Wealth core.

I’m curious with how I’ll grow with PEACE along with The Worthiness Recalibration and Roots of Scarcity, which are in my healing custom. Then when I add the trading custom, which has the New Wealth Experience core along with Inherited Wealth Stories and Essene: The Inner Edge all together. That’s some serious core wealth and trading core areas. Not on par with the Alchemy of Money, but I do feel that will be much easier to run when I’m ready for the custom investing sub.

If you notice, I need a couple of steps ahead of time worked out. I need to know my general direction. Things will change. I’m pliable and adaptable. But I still need the basic path laid out in front of me. I need to figure out how to see the forest through the trees ahead of time, not wake up in the trees and get overwhelmed.

Yeah. My Dodgers won tonight. Was a tight game but they still won. The Series still isn’t over and the next round will be a doozy, IF they make it past this one. They only need to win one more, whereas Atlanta will have to win the next two. Possible but not likely.

It’s interesting to me, because when the Dodgers lost a couple of nights ago, I’m not saying it would have necessarily ruined my day before, but it would have colored the rest of my day. Now? Disappointed and then over it. Back to equanimity (forgot to mention that I worked through the other stuff and the equanimity is back).

Same thing with their win tonight. Awesome. But back to my baseline. IF, the Dodgers make it to the World Series and IF they win, I’m very curious to how I’ll be. I think I’ll be charged for a whole day or more.

IF they lose, or don’t even make it to the World Series, we’ll see. l do think I’ll get over it fairly quickly and get back to normal. That’s what I’m hoping for. Although I still prefer the scenario with the Dodgers winning the World Series all together.

They’re just games overall. And overall I’m not a huge sports fan. I love baseball but prefer to see games in person. I rarely watch a full game on tv, or if I do it’s more in the background.

Hockey though, I’ll watch a full game from time to time (Vegas Golden Knights or LA Kings). Of course I love live games also but I don’t live in a city with an NHL team.

    early morning

Very early this morning I watched a documentary titled How Money Was Invented: The Birth of Currency on the Youtube channel History & Civilizations and really enjoyed it.

A better title would have been “The Birth of Coinage Currency” or something along those lines because beads, shells, certain rocks, animal pelts, etc go back much longer.

We truly don’t know the real origins of money or “currency”. There are plenty of theories, just like how dogs became domesticated, but that is all they are, theories. Or stories. But I digress.

This was an excellent documentary and frankly some of it I didn’t know. Later tonight I’m going to watch essentially the second part which is on the history of money in China, which goes further back then the history in the one I watched this morning.

I actually thoroughly enjoy documentaries and books on this kind of thing. I was a Sophomore in High School when I read, on my own accord and own interest mind you, on the history of money. I was a different kid. LOL.

That was the same year that I realized there was no way I was going to be a Veterinarian because there was no way I was going to be able to pay for the schooling. That’s all I ever wanted to do up until that point. I never wavered from that until my Sophomore year in High School. That’s when I vacillated between a few potential careers including Stock Broker, Entrepreneur, Salesperson (which BTW, that’s all Stock Brokers are. I’m not kidding) and then decided on being a Manager.

    Late Morning

Not sure if these are the same type of dreams I’ve been having or not but this morning every single one of my dreams I remember were about people and things being taken away from me.

But these aren’t violent dreams or people and things being taken away forcefully, just in mundane ways, but then they’re gone for good. There are about half a dozen I remember back to back. These are very short dreams, maybe a minute each. No one I knew or things from my past, but I was attached to these people or things in the dreams.

I don’t know if my subconscious is working on detachment, loss, all the above? It’s very interesting that what I remember was back to back. One short dream to another, almost like a conveyor belt and different permutations of ways to lose friends, loved ones, things I was attached to, etc.

That’s very interesting to me. Like I said, I have no clue if those are the types of dreams I had the couple of days prior or not because I don’t recall specifics, just the feelings.

I’ve sat with the feelings from last night’s’ dreams and recalled the feeling from the prior couple of nights and they are identical. So this is something my subconscious is working on.

Here is an excellent post describing in detail the point of eventually increasing loop times. When it’s NOT needed, when you might want it and the different stages of progression of a title, custom, etc.

@anon15812918 shared this with me and I’ll share the post from @Fire here.

Fire Explaining Stages Within A Sub, & Increasing Loop Times

This really helped me to fill in the knowledge gap. You’ll do your growth more harm by increasing loop times if you and your system are not ready. I love the fact he used Forex in his analogies. Speaking my language. :grinning:

    Early evening

I had to run an errand today and realized something has shifted recently and I didn’t even realize it. PEACE works very subtly sometimes.

Gushing over the Sunny & Warm Weather

Man, what a gorgeous day to run errands. I know I said this about two weeks ago, but honestly, the good weather is coming to an end very soon. We’ve been lucky this year and it came back for a few days.

I’m not old in my book, I just turned 55 in Sept, but as you get older friends and loved ones pass on, celebrities (musicians, actors, authors, etc) you admired pass on, etc. The older you get, the more it happens. It’s just the circle of life.

It’s never really easy, but sometimes it’s devastating, and truth is, it’s also accumulative. A childhood friend who was my Mom’s age passed away a few years ago. I was very close to her. I’ve mentioned her before.

I never really got over her passing. I had plenty of time to prepare for it. She had a very rare and advanced bone marrow cancer that was untreatable. She was in the hospital and we talked every couple of days. One night we were talking and she all of a sudden wasn’t feeling good and had to rush to get off the phone and get a nurse in.

I received a phone call the next morning. She passed away less than an hour after we hung up. Not as bad as my experience with my partner. We hugged goodbye before my partner left for work and I went to bed. I woke up to knocking on the door. It was the Police to inform me that my partner was instantly killed in a DUI accident (the other driver was intoxicated, not my partner, and that driver had multiple prior convictions).

I still need healing about my partner, but my friend I was talking about I had accepted and let go. But not really. And that’s the rub. You learn to move on because life goes on. But it is a low level energy leak. I no longer feel that. It’s difficult to explain, but PEACE helped me to truly accept that my friend is gone. No pun intended (not the time) but I’m truly at peace with her passing. I don’t feel this energy leak.

I’m convinced that in time I’ll feel the same way about my partner passing away and so suddenly. I know my partner would want that with me. l have zero doubts. If the tide was turned I would want the same for my partner. In time I’ll truly accept it like I’ve been able to with my friend passing away.

I keep saying this, but man, I can’t wait until around this time next year to see my growth. And then two years from now. Especially financially.

    Very early morning

Well, my Dodgers won tonight by 4 to 1 against the Braves and it was iffy who was going to win the Brewers Padres game because it’s been a very close series overall. The Brewers ended up winning and took the series.

So now, just like last year, it’s the Dodgers against the Brewers for the NLCS series. This should be a tough series. I’m very curious to see how I handle the ups and downs. I usually don’t get carried away but normally I’d be bummed for a couple of days if the Dodgers didn’t make it to the World Series.

Well, I’m off to bed. I’m curious about my upcoming dreams tonight.

I’ve been noticing lately that during down times I can just sit and do nothing. I’m not even bored when I do this. I was doing this this morning while drinking coffee. I checked emails, looked at some financial and market news briefly and then just sat there.

No music (which I love). No videos. Just sitting there, not even getting carried away by any thoughts. This is absolutely PEACE. I attribute quite a bit to PEACE, but I am spot on.

I actually am looking at doing another half a round using my current stack before I order and use my healing stack. I’m going to take John Lennon’s advice and give PEACE a chance. :stuck_out_tongue:

Someone actually used that one on the PEACE page. I laughed so hard at that one.

Seriously though. I’ll do a half round more of my current stack. PEACE will be the core of my custom healing title but I have a bit going on with that one besides PEACE.

Now I say I don’t really watch full baseball games on tv like I do hockey. And overall that is true. But playoffs are a different story.

Tonight’s game between Chicago White Sox and the Cleveland Guardians (still think it’s a stupid name change) was incredible. The White Sox only need to win one more game. They thought tonight would be the night.

It looked like it was possible, until the 6th inning. Never say die. Cleveland scored 6 runs. Just gritty playing. Not giving up. Never say die. Down, but hell no not out. Cleveland came back and won 9 to 5 forcing a game 5. The next game is do or die for both teams. Whoever wins moves on to play Tampa Bay and whoever wins that goes to the World Series.

In my upcoming healing custom I will have the module It Always Rises in it and that instills " bone-deep certainty that you always come back—that you can hit the floor, miss the streak, lose all your momentum, and the return is still coming, as inevitable as the sun after the longest night. Setback loses its power to convince you it’s permanent; you meet risk and failure without the old dread, because you already know how it ends."

Which is perfect for trading. No matter who you are and how good you and your system is, you always have drawdowns. Losing streaks, etc.

Anyway, this game tonight reminded me of It Always Rises. That had that attitude tonight. I’m not a fan of either team, but I enjoy a good game no matter what. And tonight’s game was awesome. I still think Tampa will take the ALCS and I’m hoping and leaning to the Dodgers to take the NLCS, but I don’t have a crystal ball.

BTW, the Dodgers have had the It Always Rises attitude. Down and out last year. Beat up and tired. Couple of lucky breaks and they won the World Series for the second year in a row. They have a good chance this year also. Of course I’m biased, but I also know my team. But the Brewers aren’t pushovers and frankly they are pissed about last year. That’s some powerful energy. But the Dodgers want a dynasty and that’s powerful energy. We’ll see. :baseball:

Yes! Another It Always Rises game today, this time with my Vegas Golden Knights (NHL). They were down 3 to nothing against the Maple Leafs but came back to win 4 to 3 in overtime.

My best friend wrote me today. It’s been a little while because he’s been recuperating at his sister’s house since his surgery. Everything is going well and he’s recovering quite well from the surgery.

He sounded in great spirits and we’ll be chatting next weekend, which I’m looking forward to.

Online shopping. Just part of our world in this day and age. I ordered something yesterday from a major corporation and they split the order in thirds for whatever reason. Okay fine.

Two of the orders were spot on. The last one went to who knows where, but it didn’t look anywhere near my neighborhood and the picture was a very obvious different door.

So I called to get the stuff I ordered. First, an AI agent that sounds unnaturally chipper, in a very fake annoying way. Then transferred to a person whose native language is not my own and it’s a little difficult to understand what they are saying. Fine, it’s been this way for quite a few years now.

Until I get an email today refusing to correct the problem. So I called again, very quickly bypassed the AI and got a real person. I explained the entire story, patiently, calmly. I didn’t attack anyone and I wasn’t taking no for an answer. Took about 5 minutes, refund for the part that was misdelivered. End of story. Easy peasy.

Normally, the last few years, I’d get upset and the whole process would have been much longer. Maybe resolved, maybe another phone call or two to get it resolved and it would make me stressed.

Today. Fixed. Easy. I didn’t stew about anything for an hour ahead of time. I clearly stated the problem, asked for a solution and the solution was given. So much easier.

I just realized that the post just prior to this has a date of '23. No clue where my head was on that one. LOL.

Patience. Actually a theme lately without even realizing it. Last night I ordered a new pair of headphones. I do this every year because I listen to a lot of music, normally.

So one year I purchase an open back, then the next year I purchase a closed back, and keep them for two years.

I don’t buy anything really expensive because I have a quasi-wannabe-hifi system right now. I’m using my PC with J River Media and an external sound card from Schiit Audio. So no need in getting top of the line Focal are anything in that neighborhood because it would be overkill for my current “music system”.

So I stick to Sennheiser entry level hi-fi. HD 569 for the closed backs and HD 599 for the open backs. This year was the HD 569 closed backs.

So where does patience come in with headphones? Break in. They sound alright out of the box sometimes, but never really that good. Sometimes they sound downright muddy. So I have audio programs specifically for headphone break in. It takes about 50 hours in total and I have “audio” that is pure silence every couple of hours to give the headphones a rest.

Some people think break in with speakers or headphones is BS. It isn’t. I’ve done my own AB tests and there is a significant improvement. But it takes patience and overall patience is something that I’ve grown to have this last year with the subs.

Another thing I always forget about with new headphones is how tight they are. I don’t have a huge head, but it is larger than average. Not just figuratively either. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I used to ride motorcycles and always had to get much larger sizes than what was usually in stock, until I moved back down to Southern California.

I actually miss riding motorcycles, but those days are long over. I don’t trust drivers these days. Patience is one thing. Taking unneeded and inflated risks in life is a completely different thing. Not worth it anymore.
