So with my custom based on HoM, pcc and inner circle I have gained the following this week(a lot has happened but this stood out for me):
In my new role, I spoke to one of the senior’s managers as a junior (i have been visiting him frequently to see how he is doing and what problems he is facing…also making a list of the key players that can help me advance in the organization).
We got to the part talking about the frustration about the high turnover in a certain department, which they have been scratching their heads about how to reduce it. Because I know the department well I suggested to him that I can help with the hiring process, convening him that I knew the ins and outs and know exactly what they need to hire on.
So he agreed and said I can do it jointly with another manager. We each get to invite our candidates. I am happy because I can get some friends and potential friends of mine in … and I hope that planting these seeds it will be fruitful later on.

The quality of the relationship strongly determines the opportunities.
I normally would go in and just express my needs, now thanks to my custom I think more forward and I have realized that most of what I do has to be within the context of that relationship, including my needs that of the other person and organisation. That is how i seized this opportunity. Wouldn’t have thought about it this way before.
I don’t know if this is HoM or Pcc but I think way more deeply form other’s perspective and their world view. Getting them on a way different level. Also reading other people, all-seeing/eagle eye makes it so much easier get a good sense of who they are and what they value etc…
