A fun game to unleash your inner Messi, black mamba or tom Brady(whatever sports player or game player you look up to)

While I was in the shower today, I thought of an idea. Not claiming this is my idea, if someone has already mentioned this on the forum somewhere, than I give you all the credit

but I was wondering what if you could gamify your stack

what do I mean?

What if, you treated your stack like a game, you’re the star athlete for example and running the stack is like your team that you’re leading

Rules of engagement:

The opponent is your inner self that doesn’t want change. There’s a caveat though, your inner old self once defeated can come back and regenerate into an even more powerful opponent.

Every week you’ll reflect on the objectives of the subs in your stack and if you didn’t take action on any of the objectives then you lose 10 points. All you have to do is check one of the objectives on each sub you’re using. The game is to 100 but if you drop your stack earlier before you finish and add new subs, you automatically get disqualified and have to start over with -10.

Not taking action on any objective = -10
moving up too quickly and basically not following instructions = -5
not journaling at least twice a week = -20
switching stacks before 90 processing days = automatic disqualification or -100

I was thinking of keeping a journal of this, every time I veer off my stack or taking action I jot it down

feel free to chime in on what else I can add to this to make it more interesting and more challenging

please keep an open mind, I know this sounds silly but I’m a very competitive guy and love to compete…

if this is not for you then its not for you, just keep it moving and pretend you didn’t read this

it would be crazy if they had a competition here and a leaderboard. Saint would set up the rules etc., and rules of engagement and those taking the most action, journaling etc., on a consistent basis would move up in the lead board …stuff like that

just throwing some ideas out there and seeing what sticks lol

Just wanted to add something else. This can be changed up a bit where you access your journaling and action taken after the end of your cycle, and if you end up with 50 or more points then you get a win and you are 1-0, if you lose its 0-1, first to 4 wins, so you might end up doing 7 cycles if you keep fucking up and not consistent with taking action

Feel free to add to this or add your own rules and post it on the forum…my brain isn’t at 100 percent right now so I’m running out of ideas

I have been doing this for almost two years now.
I journal daily and there are also massive RPG gamification mechanics inside this daily practice.
There are different formula related to total listening time, collecting experience points for taking action and achievig results, leveling up and then rewarding myself when reaching certain milestones and levels.
It is a rather complex system with many metrics and adjusted for my analytical mind. Some formulas are even recursive functions and root functions
There is also a mechanic that I call “something to look forward to”, which helps grinding experience points during boring times more worthwhile.
There are also fail safe mechanisms to ensure that side quests do not distract from main quests etc.

There are no penalities or negative experience points in my system as I find penalties completely discouraging with regards to everything. Life is already coersive enough, so I a system that includes penalties would achieve the completely opposite effect for me.
The emotional penality of being stuck at the current state when not taking action and delaying the dream life ahead of me, is more than enough by itself.

There are also weaknesses to the system: since it is pure mental and mathematical, it is not recon safe and can be disrupted and jeopardized by phases of strong emotional recon.

can you share your system?

Unfortunately not, as it is very personal. Most of the gamification mechanics are specific to my psychological setup and tied to my private journal.

Understood, did you come up with it all by yourself or do you have some useful sources to share about gamification in general?

Almost all by myself, inspired by playing many video games.
The gamification stuff that I have seen on YouTube was mostly useless as it did not address the right psychological triggers for me personally.
I believe everyone needs to develop their own personal system that works for them, custom to their individual value system, motivations, goals, personality type etc.

ChatGPT can help with creating such a system too. Or at least you can use it to ask you the right questions and by answering those you will discover what type of system and rewards will work for you personally.
