There has been a lot of talk about choosing a sub that doesnt fit your core would probably not give you results…
It seems Rebirth can overcome this?

I don’t think it’s this deep.

If you want to develop a part of yourself and you play the related sub, then that part will develop. (For example, your confidence, your discernment, your ease with socializing, and so on).

If you also take action to develop that part of yourself, then it will develop faster and more effectively.

If you play a sub for some capacity that you really don’t want to develop and for which you have no desire or willingness to take action, then you will probably not see so much of a response. In this case, you have chosen the wrong sub and should choose something else.

Of course, there are grey areas, and people can and do hold conflicting desires. For example, someone wants to be alone and free, but from time to time, that person also wants to be in a relationship.

This requires a bit of soul-searching and real-world exploration to choose how you want to orient your development.

The whole ‘core’ and ‘not core’ thing seems, to me, like it might confuse things; and possibly introduce doubt where no doubt is really needed. “Do I have what it takes?” That kind of thing. I think that’s unnecessary. Just try and explore.

Ok, so basically when they talk about “not fit your core” they are not speaking about something you have been born with.
Rather likes and dislikes that have accumulated over the course of life.
Am I getting right?

That what I was thinking. When, a polarity can be temporarely “hidden” in the subconscious (eg. I want to be in a relationship) while the other one is active (eg. I wanna be free).
And they exchange the active position in consequence of life circumstances

IMO this require more than some soul-searching…
Cause reality is whole and the “stable” solution would be to integrate both views.
In the case of “freedom/love”, love doesn’t exclude freedom and viceversa.

I don’t know that talk but Rebirth would help you get there in my opinion but it would require a lot of time and consistency working on all the missing links (with the right aiding subs) to your ideal self provided that it was your ideal self (who you REALLY want to become) indeed. You can’t force your subconscious to become someone you don’t want to be at your core nor lie to it about that. That’s why knowing what your ideal self is is so vital. Going against it would still produce some results and with Rebirth even more but those results would be far from the optimal.

So in this model the basic idea is, there is one thing called an “ideal self”, that (I guess) you are born with, and it’s different for different people.
That is usually hidden, and can’t be changed or at least with not much success.

Am I getting it right?

BTW I’m still looking if there is something called “self” which has some kind of consistency at all

Our ideal self “is changing” in the sense that we become more and more towards that ideal self, it’s a never-ending self-discovery and never-ending process of becoming but what’s certain about the whole journey is that the more we lie to ourselves the further we are from our ideal self, our true potential, happiness and destiny.

So the ideal self is changing from moment to moment. If you are aligned to it you are happy, powerful…
From this I get that the ideal self is not something you (ego) can control… it is something inherent to your being (by definition) and supposed to be constantly changing.

What if the “trying to align to it” (that is from the perspective of the ego), is what is actually obscuring your ideal self, by constantly looking into becoming and not into being?

Like you said, it’s something inherent to our nature and we cannot control it nor eradicate it but we can only embrace it or suffer the consequences. The closer we are to our ideal self the more complete we are and the clearer the vision of our ideal self is.
