Do you think fragrances are harmful?
Lots of chemicals and personally I’m not sure that if it’s healthy

I got a nice jawline, but again… aging too

Most people are subjected to much worse things in the air than mere alcohol mixed with oils. Maybe stay away from the cheap stuff. And by cheap i mean the really cheap stuff; you can still find amazing fragrances that smell like luxurious scents at fraction of the price.

Also, since people still read the old posts. Get samples before committing to a bottle.

I wouldn’t say that Ganymede is the ultimate Wanted fragrance that would go to one of the versions of Wanted by Azzaro, by mere Virtue of the bottle, name, and safety. Or maybe Spice Bomb because you’d be the bomb. Of course there is no such thing as one fragrance.

You’re saying that it’s a Wanted fragrance because of the bottle and name? Not the scent? The scent doesn’t matter? We’re talking about the actual scent, not the marketing and packaging.

I mean everyone is entitled to their opinion… that’s all they are - but wow. That’s a flabbergasting take.

Nowadays it is very simple. Watch various YouTube channels focused on fragrances and also use AI. An example.

The “best” men’s fragrance depends on personal taste, the occasion, and even the season. However, some iconic and highly regarded fragrances consistently rank as favorites. Here’s a guide to help you choose:

Timeless Classics

  1. Dior Sauvage (Eau de Toilette or Parfum)
  • Notes: Bergamot, Sichuan pepper, Ambroxan.
  • Why: Versatile, modern, and widely loved for its fresh and spicy scent.
  1. Creed Aventus
  • Notes: Pineapple, bergamot, patchouli, oakmoss.
  • Why: Sophisticated and luxurious; perfect for special occasions.
  1. Chanel Bleu de Chanel (Eau de Parfum)
  • Notes: Grapefruit, incense, ginger, sandalwood.
  • Why: Elegant, woody, and perfect for both day and night.

Seasonal Favorites

  • For Winter/Fall:
    • Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille: Rich, warm, and spicy.
    • Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L’Homme: Seductive with cardamom and cedar.
  • For Spring/Summer:
    • Acqua di Giò Profumo by Giorgio Armani: Fresh, aquatic, and aromatic.
    • Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue: Crisp with citrus, musk, and aquatic notes.

Affordable Picks

  1. Nautica Voyage
  • Notes: Green apple, lotus, cedarwood.
  • Why: A fresh, budget-friendly everyday fragrance.
  1. Davidoff Cool Water
  • Notes: Lavender, mint, sandalwood.
  • Why: Clean, classic, and refreshing.

Luxury and Niche Fragrances

  1. Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540
  • Notes: Saffron, ambergris, cedar.
  • Why: Unique and unforgettable, with a luxurious aura.
  1. Le Labo Santal 33
  • Notes: Sandalwood, leather, iris.
  • Why: Earthy, woody, and perfect for a signature scent.

How to Choose the Right Fragrance

  1. Understand Notes:
  • Top notes are the first impression (citrus, fresh).
  • Middle notes form the heart (spices, florals).
  • Base notes linger longest (wood, amber, musk).
  1. Test Before Buying:
  • Try samples on your skin, as body chemistry affects how a scent develops.
  1. Consider Occasions:
  • Light, fresh scents for daytime or work.
  • Rich, bold scents for evening or special events.

Even use several AI to crosscheck it.

If anyone reading this is wondering why:

How can you attribute something as an x fragrance without even factoring in the scent. The scent is everything - it’s the whole fucking point. A fragrance is 95% the scent and experience of it.

This is the beauty of the internet though. You get interesting takes from different people. Diversity of thought, lol.

Sauvage… or if your feeling super spicy try sauvage elixir…

I swear by it, bruhhh this scent is a panty dropper im not kidding

One whiff and she’s horny man

That was a joke in response to saying Ganymede is the ultimate scent when there are in fact scents far supercede it, without even venturing into the obscure niche fragrances.

Further, I did mention SAFETY. surely I didn’t mean safety in the physical sense did I? Safety implies mass appeal, thus the scent factor was mentioned. You seem overly excited for some reason, did I offend you by disagreeing on Ganymede?

Nevertheless, Wanted by night is still, in my opinion, the ultimate Wanted scent. It’s affordable, mass appealing (safe SCENT, scent is the thing that our noses taste, just incase you didn’t understand) and the bottle looks fitting to the name of the title and box art, the bottle being a Revolver ammo chamber.

For the price point of Ganymede, there are far better options to be considered as the “ultimate”. Some are at the fraction of a price and as much in quality.

Those are not fitting for Wanted, ofcourse I am talking about the archetype itself, not your average dude that just wants to get laid. Those scents while popular and safe, are exceedingly over used by young kids.

And you are correct, fragrances are tools that adds or takes away of our attractiveness, so it’s important to consider the occasion and time and weather. I would definetly not wear Falcon Leather to the gym. Unless I finally have an oil field to my name ofcourse.

No, I’m not offended.

I’m just flabbergasted by your thought process.

Ganymede is extremely unique, complex, and intriguing. It’s an enigmatic scent. If you smell Ganymede, you will likely go “okay, I can see how this fits Wanted”. Hence why someone literally did that on this forum and said it’s the ultimate Wanted scent in their opinion. Real life example that you can go and see with your own 2 eyes, not just theory.

Wanted is all about becoming an enigma. Unique, complex, and intriguing. Difficult to understand, full of mystery, layers, unpredictable, and pulling you into the unknown. An enigma challenges norms and expectations. They stick out from the crowd.

When you go “nah I wouldn’t say Ganymede is a Wanted fragrance”, I’m not offended… I’m genuinely intrigued. I’m thinking “okay then what is a more Wanted suited fragrance in your opinion?”.

Then you say this:

I’m expecting you to go into nuance about a scent so that I can learn something, but you say bottle, name, and safety. At this point, my intrigue transformed into confusion.

“mere virtue of bottle, and name” even though you mentioned safety (I know what you meant by it), which you’re correct - it’s a scent factor, the fact that you put this much weight on a bottle and a name when referring to a fragrance, is a headscratcher.

“Mere virtue of bottle, name” when talking about any fragrance is insanity. Anyone who considers themselves a frag-head would agree. Fragrance is all about the scent and the experience it creates. The marketing elements of the fragrance such as bottle and name, should never be factored into the evaluation of the scent.

From that phrasing alone, I was flabbergasted.

See you’re doing it again. Affordability has zero relation whatsoever to the actual evaluation of the scent itself.

You’re trying to backtrack and emphasize safety. Mass appeal is literally the anti-thesis of being an enigma. It’s predictable, and uncomplicated. It follows familiar patterns that people recognize and find comforting - there is no mystery. An enigmatic fragrance doesn’t try to be liked by everyone, it wants to evoke a curiosity which causes people to want to know more. A fragrance fitting for an enigma would invite discovery, whereas a mass pleaser would just smell good right away and not require a lot of thought or exploration. The scent factor (mass appeal and safety) that you’re using to back up your conclusion for a fragrance being a Wanted scent… just adds even more to the bafflement. It’s completely backwards.

This is all my opinion though, it’s an interesting discussion which I’ll thank you for. It broadened my understanding on the topic, and where I stand on certain viewpoints.

I did try Ganymede, and I would still not call it the ultimate Wanted. The ultimate for me would be old school discontinued Man in Black, but good luck finding and sustaining it. So my vote would go to something like Inito Oud for Greatness, or Initio Side Effect, Fredrick Malle Portrait of a Lady, maybe some Tom Ford or Killian sometimes.

However, when someone here goes to Google up those scents, they will be stricken by a price of 4-600$ despite how unique, enigmatic, refined and captivating they are.

The ganymede also falls on the pricier side of perfumes as well, which also makes it inaccessible to everyone. Aside from the price point and scent profile, I mean for god sake the scent profile is fresh, metallic and suede, that holds no truth to the enigmatic archetype of Wanted. That, in my opinion, doesn’t even qualify it to be the Ultimate Wanted.

One more thing, you do understand that this whole thing is a joke, right? There is no such thing as one scent that rules them all. Every personality is different and every fragrance is a compliment to the personality that you wish to bring out, whatever that fragrance is that makes you feel top notch for whatever purpose.

It is why, I still maintain that Wanted is Wanted’s ultimate scent (as a joke as there is no such). Again, it is affordable and often goes on discounts, the scent is somewhat unique (some flankers more so than others) and the fact that there aren’t any exact clones of it adds to the uniqueness. It’s a compliment generator and appeals to the masses (even though it’s not used much, unlike other mass appealers) and that surely beats over any Bleu de channel radiating brocoli head. The bottle design and name just adds more comicality to the whole idea of the ultimate scent to Wanted; all of those, in my opinion, makes it the ultimate to something highly subjective and situational. The same goes to Spicebomb, which smells even better at a higher price.

Wanted and WB especially, invites us to refine our style, which involves perfumes, and part of that is graduating from the Axe body spray and drakkar Noir, which is not so bad I suppose. In that refinement, everyone will discover what works for them and how to use them. Most guys when starting out will go to the internet or ask your average pretty girl at Sephora and will find those scents mentioned by the AI previously being pushed relentlessly, they are popular after all. Though they are not bad smelling to give them their justice, for the price they’ll put out for them, there are better options.

Now, if you were to say that Ganymede is a Wanted BLACK scent, which is supposedly someone that has evolved from the bush leagues and wants the even higher quality of items, I would still disagree with you. Maybe more suitable for the gym next to all the metal, it’s not for me and I would have to layer it to add some depth to it.

If it’s working for you, then it’s all good. Some people find The Night by FM smells like Barn droppings and some find it arousing. The scents will change as we mature and where we are at life and our goals. Emperor Daddy had me preferring some Tom Fords over the others, and Primal is mostly Falcon leather, Cuoum by Teroni (this thing is appallingly animalistic and smoky), heavy oud and leather and tobacco scent. It’s all subjective and situational

I would love to hear from folks that have run Khan and/or Emperor for a long period of time

I actually thought Oud Wood by Tom Ford had a Wanted/WB type vibe.

I’ve run WB for about 5-6 months now and have noticed some gradual shifts in my fashion, perception of self, and scent (as others have eluded to, especially pheromones.)

I’ve found myself more into leather and have incorporated that into my fashion.

I dyed my hair black and now have the dark hair/light eyes combo that embodies the WB persona for me. I even got a nose ring! The two aforementioned physical changes are things I never thought I’d do, purely because of fear. WB has made me more confident in every aspect of life.

Regarding perception of self, I just find myself more attractive and really have noticed little shifts in my facial expressions, the way I carry myself, my energy, etc.

With scent, I delved into pheromone-enhancing oils/perfumes and they really do work wonders! Belief in them is essential, as it is with anything in this life. I also found my signature scent for now and really do love it (I can’t remember the name, but it has a vanilla musk scent to it)
