The MALKUTH Catharsis (Malkuth Journal)

Today was a subliminal day.

With meditation, as usual, played by two beloved titles:

Ecstasy of the Golden One (name-embedded major) and Dragon Reborn Gold: A Dragon Reborn.

I am not tough at all, but I grew up around a culture of toughness. Or, maybe more accurately, I grew up between that culture and other ones.

The result was feeling like a ghost.

As a child, we look to those outside of us and around us to tell us who we are, and if you’re unable to participate sufficiently in whatever arbitrary rituals, contests, etc., are around you and that are used to establish worth, value, and status, there’s a resultant feeling of decreased reality.

Of course, there have been many other experiences over the years and decades since then, but I am aware that this is part of what Dragon Reborn Gold is working on with me.

I am also finding myself receiving insights about Field-consciousness and Field-phenomena.

Connecting more to the Field aspects of qi-development or energy practices.

Practicing the taijiquan form with awareness of Field, or awareness-as-Field, for example, is so full of possibility.

Often times as you’re building strength from a Figure-perspective; you’re simultaneously clearing blockages from a Field- or Ground-perspective.

It’s not one or the other; it’s that both are Paradigm Options. Ways, alternate ways, of understanding or organizing the exact same processes and conditions.

As you walk the path of seeking evolution and mastery there are two Giant Monsters who will bar your way—PAIN and BOREDOM.

PAIN and BOREDOM

Running away from them is no solution. “Killing them” is no solution. Obsessively worshipping them, no solution.

The solution is to LIVE WITH THEM while continuing to follow your path.

As you do this, a funny thing will happen. Not quickly. Not all at once. And not in a linear fashion.

They will start to shrink.

At some point in that process, you will find that what used to be Monsters, have now become Friends. They are friends who talk to you but who you can ignore at will.

And this is a whole new challenge.

The challenge now is to avoid complacency and self-satisfaction.

You do this not by ‘Beating Yourself Up’, but by Intentionally Listening to your friends, Pain and Boredom. Learning from them by choice.

And as you continue to learn from them, another curious thing will happen.

They will begin to grow.

At some point in this process, they will become your Guardians. (By this point, their names have changed many times.)

Guardians.

Pain and Boredom.

Speeding and protecting your path to mastery.

it’s not only disease that is undiagnosed or misdiagnosed; it is also talents and gifts.

And there are many people walking around with undiagnosed gifts; or even worse, with gifts that have been misdiagnosed as only problems, weaknesses, or disease.

It can be very tricky to detect how something can be a great strength and how to utilize it when it looks like a huge problem from miles away. Especially when it’s not utilized and on the contrary, cripples. It really hit me two days back. I’ve seen people that are so different from majority being looked down upon. And they suffer too. At first you think “if they could just change this thing that seems to be so deeply engraved in them they could live better” but then you think “maybe that’s just who they are… maybe they could find a way to thrive as they are… but fuck I have no clue how right now hahahahaa and even if I could, they probably wouldn’t go there anyway hahaha

Those are probably things that bloom with time naturally for every person. There is this thing I’ve noticed that people take action not when it’s clear, but when they feel like it’s the right time. As if we had some inner clock in us. It doesn’t always have a clear reason for why we have waited and not just done it the moment we knew we will. I think this clock is the reason for why we get so defensive when someone is trying to force and rush us into something. Even if it’s what we want.

When things are going right,

the programs that I run are a Reflection and Expression of my path;

not the other way round.

So, in those conditions, I can’t play a wrong program.

My path sets the tone; the program enhances it. Inflects it.

The Universe is an ongoing, open-ended, dynamic process;

with about 999 quadrillion metric tonnes of water under the bridge.

Talk about baggage.

If you don’t find a way to reset, there will always be numerous currents and flows to get pulled into.

Our planet is estimated to be 4.4 billion years old. If the average human life is 85 years, that would be about 52 million separate back-to-back generations of human beings, with each likely living as if they were the only one that really mattered. As we still do to this day.

But based on the fossil record, we humans (modern versions) have been around for around 300000 years. So that’s more like 3500 generations of human beings, running around.

But if you count our somewhat dissimilar hominin ancestors, we go back to Sahelanthropus Tchadensis who was here, walking two-leggedly, 7 million years ago. And there are a number of others.

That’s a lot of ancestral weight to carry. A lot of resources, lived experiences, deaths, lives, and everything in between.

Dive into the ancestral dust.

But remember that Reset button.

You have the right–indeed the RESPONSIBILITY–to create your Path.

Simultaneously, you also have no guarantee that it will work.

Iterate. Iterate. Iterate.

Today, I took the opportunity to do full, out loud readings of the product descriptions for Alchemist and Godlike Masculinity.

I think that once I complete this run of Dragon Reborn, my next program is likely to be The Alchemist.

在我夢裏面

Too funny!

There are a lot of basic, ‘common-sense’ assumptions that are simply not true.

They are not ‘idiotic’ or ‘foolish’ or ‘ridiculous’.

It’s more like they are ‘practically’ true. Or true ‘for all intents and purposes’. In other words, they ‘might as well be’ true.

They just happen to not be.

One tried-and-true example is the whole ‘sunrise/sunset’ thing.

It ‘might as well be true’ that the sun ‘rises’ each morning and ‘sets’ each evening. Approaching your life ‘as if’ this is true, will yield repeatable, solid, and good results.

It’s only that it just so happens to be not be true. That’s all.

But since it ‘might as well be’, then it’s not a bad idea to live your life as if it’s true.

There’s a very long, probably endless, list of similar cases.

“Come back to your senses”, “stand on solid ground”, and “face reality”.

These might as well be true. And it’s a pretty good idea to live ‘as if’ they are.

There’s a kind of basic, common-sense assumption that the default condition for those who are not actively escaping from things is to be ‘in touch with reality’. In this view, if you simply ‘stop being absurd/immature/foolish’ and ‘open your eyes/ears/etc., and observe’, then your default condition will be to be ‘in touch with reality’.

Might as well be true. (Practically, true.)

A useful and effective approach.

And also utterly untrue.

One thing you learn sooner or later in meditation is that your default state of awareness is NOT in touch with reality.

And I don’t mean because ‘you’re not concentrating’ or ‘you’re not paying attention’.

I’m saying that when you bring a high-quality of focused attention and a mature, balanced state of mind and unflinchingly face and observe the world, you are NOT in touch with reality.

Reality is way, way, way above our pay-grade.

We generally do not make the cut.

That’s nothing to be ashamed of.

It’s just true.

The best and most advanced accounts of and engagements with What Is that we have collectively achieved to this point are not getting it done.

And they don’t have to.

Our priority has always been survival and adaptation. And we’ve, by and large, done that.

Facing Reality is something else entirely.

And even this simple point that I’ve elaborated above. Even that. We have barely even managed to face that.

In other words, forget about Reality, we’ve barely got any perspective on our limitations. They’re so fundamental that we don’t even notice them.

And that’s okay.

Just interesting.

As an example.

The Sun.

I grew up with depictions of the Solar System that looked something like this:

Beautiful and awesome.

And practical.

Here’s the thing.

The volume of the visible Sun?

Look…

The Sun, and we’re just talking the visible Sun, has a volume that is 1,300,000 times that of planet Earth.

In the pictures, we draw for ourselves, it’s about 10 to 15 times bigger. And that’s understandable and fair. We can’t actually draw things as they are.

But it’s 1.3 million times bigger than Earth.

Try to imagine that.

If you were successful, then congratulations, you faced Reality.

I’ll be honest and say that it gives me a little trouble. (‘A little’ in this case meaning utter impossibility over a 10 to 20 year period of time.)

Working on it.

And that’s one star. Out of an estimated 100 to 150 billion stars in just one galaxy.

Most people, pragmatically, don’t give a s**t about this.

Hence, most people, pragmatically, don’t give a s**t about Reality.

And they’re right.

And also Wrong.

p.s. if we were to talk about the radiant volume of the Sun, it dwarfs the visible volume. Subsuming Earth and even the outer planets.
