Today I moved on to Dragon Reborn Gold Part 2 and Ecstasy of Gold Part 1.

I opted for prudence. Just to be safe, I meditated without subliminals this morning, and planned on running shorter loops later in the day. (When I meditate with subs, I play full 15-minute loops.)

At lunchtime, just now, I played 5 minutes of each program.

Will see how these process today and tomorrow, and then play more on Thursday.

This phase will probably last at least 2 months. Probably longer, at least for Ecstasy of Gold 1.

Weird space.

Ran my first (5-minute) loops of Dragon Reborn Gold 2 and Ecstasy of Gold 1 yesterday.

Not feeling much subs recon, but feeling a bunch of LIFE recon. And since NSE manifests through learning experiences in your life, then I guess there may be some correlation.

Bunch of things that happened before I started playing these subs, but still thematically-related.

One interesting thing:

On Monday, I wanted to wake up at 6 or 6:30. Partly because I was meeting a deadline, and wanted a bit more empty time in the early morning to work without pressure. Anyway. I went to bed very late, and, though I set alarms, I did not wake up until 7:30 or even a little later. (Just turned the alarms off.)

In contrast, however, on Tuesday and then again today, despite the fact that I set no alarms, I have awakened at 6:15 or 6:30. Pretty interesting. Not really subs-related. But interesting.

Meanwhile, what I can say is that I really love these two new programs/stages that I am playing now. Dragon Reborn Gold I just like more and more. And Ecstasy of Gold is so relevant to what I am working on.

emotional weather: a bit grey.

Not a lot of confidence about goals right now.

Sometimes it’s just about waiting for another wave:

Especially, when in recon.

2nd day with Dragon Reborn Gold 2 and Ecstasy of Gold 1. Opted for full loops this time. Embedded in morning meditation hour.

That ended 4 hours ago and so far I seem to be okay.

Made lunch and my daughter popped by when I was almost finished, so we shared it, as we also did yesterday.

I’ve been recommended by a doctor to remove certain foods from my diet over a 6 month period in order to renew and rebuild my gut biome. The list of foods to remove was based on a laboratory analysis of my blood composition. Am 1 month in, and doing okay wiht it. But due to some of the items on the list , it is easier for me to cook my own food rather than buying food outside. This also happens to be a particularly busy work season. So some days there’s just not enough time to cook. So, yesterday and today, being able to cook felt really good.

Now, in about an hour, I’ll have one meeting. Then a few hours later, I’ll do a longer one.

During the last 8 weeks, I’ve found a gradual clarifying of my creative/business ideas. I plan to keep working on those.

When people live guided primarily by unacknowledged Unconscious patterns and agendas we are easier to predict

But the more that we cultivate Consciousness and the more we strive to attain responsible stewardship of our natures, the more our choices will be guided by more complex factors, values, and considerations.

Another sub session this morning.

Running full loops during meditation.

I’ve already noticed manifestations from Ecstasy of Gold.

People, interesting people, who are popping up to talk about my interests and exchanging relevant resources.

Let’s continue.

A lot of growth and movement going on.

Every day seems to bring different insights and connections.

So, we’re already 1 week into my current phase: Dragon Reborn 2 and Ecstasy of Gold 1

Regarding timeframes, with Dragon Reborn, I’ll use a mixture of 1) ongoing sensations/perceptions of growth and stimulation, and 2) general time expectations, to determine when to move on to the next stage.

For Stage 1 of Dragon Reborn, I spent 8 weeks. But I could easily have spent much more. Those 8 weeks really sped by. You’re just living your life.

With Ecstasy of Gold stage 1, I think it may be a long term play. I think I may play it until I launch something. If that takes a year, then I’ll probably stay with it for a year.

Consciousness is the medium of experiencing.

This is just a fact.

So there’s no such thing as a non-consciousness experience.

Just as there’s no non-aquatic ocean wave.

The medium is the context of the thing.

We usually overlook this fact; because consciousness is invisible. Ironically, we ignore consciousness–the foundation of perception–because it seems to have no perceivable traits.

We have a few characteristic processes of consciousness.

These are Projection, Identification (related to Association) and Dissociation.

We’re a bit like film projectors who are only aware of the screen before us, and not of the mechanisms that constitute us. So we see the images playing out and get drawn into the projected story. But we’re much less aware of the film reels or the MPEG4 files or whatever other source is feeding all of these images.

This is not some kind of indictment really. It’s just the way we are.

Meditation is one way of becoming more aware of this whole arrangement.

At first people say, ‘It’s obvious that the action is occurring on the screen. Why would you explore anything else? That seems self-absorbed or deluded.’

But with a bit of closer investigation, we find that what looked like the center and meaning of the situation, is actually just a distant and loose consequence of expression of the actual center(s).

The image on the screen is still important. But we can begin to recognize other areas that are also important or even more important.

That’s what meditation is about for me.

In part.

I couldn’t care less about enlightenment for the most part.

Well, that’s not quite true.

Enlightenment can be approached as the overall sense of the state of affairs described above. That’s a kind of general enlightenment. The appreciation of a more integrative paradigm of Experiencing.

Of course that matters to me, because it’s what I’m expressing here in this post.

But there are other more detailed and nuanced versions of the ‘enlightenment’ concept.

Ways to compete about the form or degree of insight attained.

I’ve only very loose interest in that.

I just want to keep learning.

I think that, when envisioning and planning for the future, many people do not account for the fact that–if they continue to grow and evolve–their views, perceptions, and perspectives will actually change.

When you complete a goal, your standards of evaluation will (hopefully) not be the same as they were when you first began working at it.

This means that complete despair simply does not make sense. Of course, we can all still feel it. There is definitely no natural law that humans have to do things that make sense. Yet, this fact remains: you will never have enough information or understanding to support complete despair.

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, 15 minutes each time, seems to be doing the trick for now.

A wise person factors Breakdown and Maintenance into their plans as expected parts of the process. Not as signs that something is horribly wrong.

People love to point to breakdown and erosion as if they’re signs that a wrong approach is being used. “That’s why your relationship broke down!” “That’s why your company is not working!” “That’s why the educational system is less than perfect!”

And so on.

This is probably ridiculous.

What on earth do you know that does not break down? Have you seen anything that does not break down, erode, decay?

A healthy system is not one that somehow prevents breakdown or decay. It’s one that harnesses decay and degradation processes into renewal processes.

The dominant evolutionary agenda when it comes to human beings is probably not much more than Survival and Reproduction. If you leave the system on auto-pilot, you’ll probably wind up with someone with whom you can do those two basic things: survive. (check.) reproduce. (check).

There’s nothing there about happiness, satisfaction, peace, contentment, meaning, and so on.

Those are real. And yes they do matter. But you’re going to have to take care of those yourself. Evolutionary inertia and momentum have their hands full with just Survival and Reproduction.

Most people probably do not spend anywhere near enough time deeply understanding who their partners are as people in the world. We’re usually more concerned with various expressions of what could be thought of as Fitness. How “Fit” is this person? Fit for childbirth. Fit for building a home. Fit for navigating society. And so on.

Nothing wrong with that. But we need to go further.

Beyond just the fitness of the person, we need to think about the Functions and Purpose of the person.

You won’t find out a person’s purpose by socializing, sexing, or dating. To know a person’s purpose, you have to watch them as they enact that purpose.

But the other half of the equation is that you also need to explore your own.

Eventually, after you’ve fucked and procreated (if that’s your path), and after all the dust settles, it’s probably going to be the combination of your (barely understood) purpose and the other person’s (barely understood) purpose that ends up determining the course and the fate of the relationship.

It’s a lot less interesting than Ass Shapes and Youthful Vigor.

And, in our defense, also much harder to understand.

Everything comes back to mind.

Every external condition that you want; you want because you believe it will allow you to feel or perceive something.

Feelings and perceptions are events in consciousness.

Your life and your experiences are a bunch of very useful data points that cannot be generalized out to all of humanity.

People constantly gain wonderful insight and make great beneficial strides in their own lives, and then make the mistake of feeling they’ve identified some fundamental rule or law for all human beings.

Great point! I am beginning to think this is especially true for manifesting the life I want.

If I listen to a generalization and think it’s true, how can I be the exception unless I be exceptional?

Being true to myself and learning from my experiences is more authentic and will lead to a real spiritual life.
