The Executive - Productivity Journal

This will be a solo journal for the executive.

While I may run other titles, I’ll be focusing this journal purely on my productivity, the systems I use, time tracking if I ever start that, etc.

That was my productivity and introspections can have two different homes.

I am starting an agency with a friend in the next month or two, and have 2 part time jobs, and it’s just so clear how productivity is my issue, not worth, not motivation/drive.

Started with only 10 seconds of executive today and am going to go to a cafe across the street with only a journal, to plan and prepare for my day.

My main goal is to stop chasing dopamine activities, and heal my brain by lots of “do nothing time,” ultimately getting to the point where I can say honestly that I’m the type of person that only does a few things - my most important work, my most nourishing hobbies, and spend time with my most important friends, plus cook clean take care of the house etc.

Jul 15th:

Took a piece of advice I got yesterday and started my day without any phone, only a journal, buying a coffee, and taking it outside to journal. That was GREAT. Felt like it really supercharged my day. I could have used more prioritization and an optimized workflow when I got back, but, I definitely felt excited to wake up when I knew the first thing in my day was a journal/coffee outside, NOT diving straight into work messages.

Then I went to watch FIFA at 12pm and overdid the coffee. I was getting stuff done while working, so it felt like a good time to do both, but the coffee and being out for so long getting excited about the match left me exhausted after. That’s when my scrolling started - but when I recognized I was scrolling I took a nap on the grass by the beach which was awesome!

Learnings from today:

  • I need a better desk & workspace
  • Keep doing the morning journals
  • Be careful about social time during the workday, it isn’t BAD, but it can be very draining, and I won’t “get work done after” in nearly the same way
  • Vaping is TERRIBLE for my mental health, even if I just do it for one day
  • Prioritize and do tasks in the order they need to be done.
  • Chunk meeting times so that I can have deep work blocks AND brain-recharge (do nothing in nature) blocks.

Would be great to combine EE with Stabilizer for this.

I’ll be going back to my “godlike foundations” custom soon, which is GLM + Reforged + Stabilizer

15s of Executive this time.

I’m VERY happy to go slow with this title. A little bit of extra productivity is nice, and I’m willing to chip away at it slowly, but I do not want and can not handle productivity-decline recon. This title is also especially hard for me in that regard which is why I’ve always avoided it, but it’s hard for me BECAUSE I need it so bad.

I even considered making this a part of my Godlike Foundations journal, and while it’s still in the spirit of Godlike Foundations, it’s a solo-run of The Executive in the short term, and in the long term it’s a place to PURELY post productivity results, so I can keep other journals more introspective.

This journal and phase was inspired by my agency partner being brutally honest with me and saying she constantly sees me say I’m going to do things and then not do them, and just in general I look busy all the time and don’t have that sit-down-and-grind mentality that she does, and it was a really refreshing blast of honesty and I wanted to work on it and make it a main priority - whatever my main priority is, of course I’ll support that with a sub.

Last night was pretty incredible, got a little too stoned off one puff of some STRONG weed, and then went home and did 3 hours of TRE and extremely long-hold Yin Yoga for 3 hours. Had an amazing sleep and was exhausted when I woke up but I know it was super good for me. Yin Yoga, Journaling, and TRE is an incredible night time routine before bed. As I have ideas, I can journal them down, whether it’s for the writing/branding I do, which is related exactly to yoga/TRE/meditation/musashi, OR, more general writing/journaling. Having that completely offline and restorative time is going to really help my sleep, my energy, and long term give me that “do-nothing” time that will heal adhd and brain fatigue.

I’m going to start journaling in GODLIKE FOUNDATIONS because I’m realizing how much the executive is the central foundation that I’ve been missing my entire time with subliminals, and it totally makes sense that the time that I got the most results with subs was when i was listening to limitless executive.
