my view has been
Jealousy is anger and fear/scarcity of what one has is at your loss, imagined or otherwise.
Envy-is the expression of desire for what one has that you don’t.

Envy is more on the surface mutable to empowerment, while jealousy can be rooted in more profound insecurity and humanity.

The salve for envy is seeing it as inspiration and direction
The salve for Jealousy is abundance and/or clearer boundaries

The positive side of jealousy/envy is that it includes a sense of being connected to the others around you.

I don’t feel incredible amounts of jealousy, but the other side of that is I also have often felt disconnected. (As in, ‘What’s the point of feeling jealous when the person’s situation has nothing to do with mine?’) Which can be another form of distortion.

To me, this lands like someone who is emotionally distraught and unregulated, caught between their hurt, their public image as a non-conventionalist, and someone who actually showed up to that event as a form of what… self-betrayal or irony lol?

Perhaps he seems existentially nihilistic but not in the Nietzschean sense of reaching the cheerfulness of one’s value creation. He has no real humor, perspective, love here.

He is speaking like someone trying to sound like they were coming from a non-dual perspective
but not from that actual realization.

Like someone with a strong intellectual belief about our reality but with no real understanding or realization of it.

Back on track: Love the idea of EOG as including happiness and gratitude. Just posted this on my journal about the joy and lightness I see in this billionaire. If you listen to his interviews, you can see how much he loves learning, creating solutions, and the work he does since his internships in highschool

It is and it’s not.

As far as I know, Carrey has a decades-long meditation and contemplative practice, and he has seen and touched the states and perspectives that he’s talking about. Doesn’t mean he’s mastered them, or needs to be the Supreme Leader, but I believe ‘there’s a there there’.

At the same time, he’s also been through some serious pain, personal loss, and hardship to match his fame, wealth, and success; and all of that is written on his body. So… he’s doing his thing. I’m sure he can still make mistakes.

At the end of the day, we’re grown-ups (in-training); so we live our own lives, do our best to learn from life and from each other, and take from it what we will.

Work life happiness

Etc…

Once fill into your being “happiness” can manifest in any area of your life…

And not as a magical “new age” recipe.

But as a condition that can be conducive to growth and creativity.

As in: clearly not all wealthy people are joyful or emotionally balanced. But those who are tend to have a greater capacity to appreciate their wealth.

The point is to combine beneficial internal attitudes with effective external strategies.

It does not. It’s a unique title that doesn’t share scripting with Genesis or Genesis: Mogul. It’s placed in the Genesis line because it works very well as a foundational title, starter title, or a “return to the basics.” It is not a “basic” title, though – there’s an incredible amount of depth that can be mined from it.
