The thing with socialization is that it gives us social power/influence which as social animals we love. We interact in SOME way.
And about EB helping you find your priorities I really agree. I had this sense of feeling ashamed of leaving my country and going abroad. And after running EB it was gone. I was like so what?

The only problem I had with it was the social isolation part.
Some of us arenāt overly concerned about balance.
Even before Emperor Black I was leaning towards enjoying having more solitude and alone time. I wish I had more of it at times
