Jokes aside. At the beginning I thought I must reach high ranks asap. But after some time it felt totally normal to post in here. For me it’s socializing and that’s natural, nothing forced. Especially when you can share lessons you learned on your way so others can profit. I already profited from some of your posts.

Is it time intensive? Perhaps. But now, I just spent the time in here instead of telegram or FB or watching TV.

But the bigger issue is that you can reach that status just by posting often. The quality of posts in general would drop, most likely. Lots of people trying to reach that status at the same time.

Yep. People who flood the forum with a few weeks of utter drivel can achieve the same status as others who’ve spent years posting richly detailed, insightful and helpful posts to get that post count…

Of course, I have the same issue with voting in general… one person can be intelligently informed of the issues and make a reasoned choice, whereas the person in the booth next to them can close their eyes and hit a button at random… and both votes are counted the same.

I have no easy solution, just something that comes to my mind occasionally.

I suspect the High Alchemist will not be the deciding factor. How many are there on the forum? It would be a very limited customer base for, judging by the hype, an incredible prestigious and in its way defining sub.

Not that many. 173 are junior Alchemist and above.

When I’ve seen the number of really active members in here it made me realize how small the actual percentage of those writing in here actually is.
Since I’m rather new (3rd cycle) I get new badges now and then. Everytime I’m a bit surprised how small the numbers are that also have this badge.
Looking at the revenue SC seems to make (based on how much they invest in new tech, research etc) we probably are just a tiny fraction whereas most consume without being active in here.

Yes, the forum probably doesn’t give much indication regarding consumer base overall.

But the approach to release it over the Q store sounds good and can easily be calibrated with lots of variables.

A very late Happy Thanksgiving to you all, even those who aren’t in the United States. Though we may be going through some rough times right now, I am still so grateful to have a thriving business and community full of amazing people trying to better themselves and help others.

I am even grateful for those who have brought challenges our way — through those, we improve and grow more resilient, and can then use those lessons to help the world even more.

I noticed that there were a few discussions about what the market wants, some people stating what they think would be best (like not hyping a modules release), etc.

As forum members, our only source of information is, what people share in here, what they want, what works, how they make progress, etc, whereas you, of course, know all the numbers: How many Major titles are sold, which are sold most, how many customs are ordered, which modules are selling best etc.

My impression is, that there are only a limited number of SC users, that are actively using the forum (since only 173 users are having Junior Alchemist badge and higher).

I don’t want to pry about your business numbers, but would you share a rough percentage of customers that are active in here?
I think it would take the wind out of the sails of those speculating about how you should lead your business, knowing that our opinions are based solely on the fraction of opinions shared in here.

As I stated, I don’t wanna pry. If you wanna keep this secret, I can totally understand. Only if you would let us in a bit, it could put our understanding in a more correct perspective.
