Yeah, the “disruptive” nature of SC.
I agree but also wanting more dominance while making death threats?
I wish I had something profound to say that other than
Please don’t change it
Unrelated but I’m curious. Once a script is finalized generally how long before its a finished product?
Yea, reading this had me frothing at the mouth. The hype is real!
” a certain history ” well, this definitly checks in custom subs enthusiasts
What goal could be more loftier than Emperor??
This is so exciting!
I was thinking something similar
I don’t have a long history with SubClub, about a year and a half, so I say this as a newer member of the forum.
That being said, I’ll give a straight opinion from my own experiences in Private Equity and with some of the companies I had either been part of the operational team for or advised.
When dealing with an issue like you are right now, which is for all intents and purposes a market for a new product that needs to have restrictive access to ensure the integrity of that which you’re building, limiting the access to only a core group of “previous buyers that meet the requirements” is effectively not just your best option, but more than likely, you’re only option.
It pains me to write this, because I would be in this case, more than likely one of the “Have Nots” for this program when it’s released, until I get a few customs built or have enough history on the forum. But, I think that’s the only way you can release it the way you want without compromising on the vision while ensuring that you’re selling it to the right buyers. Kind of like KYC for a bank - you need to know your customers if you’re going to onboard them for a product or service that has significant regulations around it.
My two cents. And while today must have sucked for you guys, I wish you and @Fire both a happy thanksgiving!
What a strange thing to be going through… sorry to hear this @SaintSovereign @Fire and to have added to the stress on my end.
Who knew subliminals could be such a disturbing mirror into the minds and behaviors of some individuals?
Anyone threatening death upon others is clearly not in the aforementioned mental space to be running your products and certainly never will be… sad to see that some people can’t wield this power responsibly.
I had the same reaction after reading that line.
Really sad that an individual so disturbed went to such lengths, that is disappointing and I am terribly sorry you and the entire Sub Club team are going through this right now. Ironic that as a consequence of trying to help people and make the world a better place you end up facing such disgusting opposition. But that seems to be the way our world is… who, in their noble pursuits, isn’t targeted by a seemingly overarching force of evil and decay, in an attempt to slow the moral progress of the world?
I pray that this individual gets the help they need to see the error in their ways and make right what they’ve done with you and the universe.
And my two cents on the developing situation regarding Fire’s sub - I don’t know what it is and I can’t imagine either, but I have faith in the competency of both of you as sub producers that no matter how “powerful” this tool is, the new way you have been scripting almost cannot lend itself to a negative use of the tech. If someone’s heart and mind is hellbent on negativity then I am sure this sub will either help them see the errors of their ways or be a complete dud. Please don’t gatekeep it away from those of us who haven’t participated in buying customs or purchased the entire store. I think it can only do more good than bad to do a general release of it, under the Artisan line or maybe alongside an electronically signed waiver.
Anyways, thanks for reading, and hope you guys have a restful holiday
This is an interesting solution. I hope it doesn’t go this way, but I would understand if you feel this is the best path forward.
My only comment is, don’t let fear rule you.
Thanks again for all that you guys do, I would speak my gratitude here more often but a friend of mine called me a kiss ass once after I posted and I got embarrassed haha
The way you and @fire show resilience and adaptability in the face of these troubled folks doing things this extremely stupid is remarkable. Any restrictions in access to advanced titles is totally reasonable. And having folks prove they’re capable of behaving honorably in the community before they get the advanced goods makes sense.
And not a particularly impressive one, apparently.
This is really unfortunate. Always has to be someone not sound of mind that ruins things for the majority.
I would hope that this doesn’t just get restricted to the Q store as main titles by themselves are incredible and my guess is this would put the restriction based on how much you are willing to spend which in my opinion is creating a “haves vs have nots” based on income levels and not merits.
How I am getting to this conclusion is theoretically barebones solace custom has 10 modules costing $15 each, with $100 base fee, and solace fee of $30. That one custom title is $280 vs a $35 or even $100 multi-stage. In my accounting world that would be considered a material difference that would be adding to the divide haves vs have nots money wise.
I’m guessing an application process would be pretty expensive and time consuming, but something like that with questions on what it is you are trying to achieve with subliminals may be a way to filter out some of the bad actors while not restricting access to those that could really benefit from the more artisan titles without going through the Q store. I don’t think this is perfect, but the best thing I can think of.
You could create a “restricted section” of titles for people once they get through the vetting or application process to streamline this and not have to do it for every title that enters the restricted section.
If you want people who have successfully previously ran other titles. Questions could be give us a title you ran and what actions did you take which gave you what results (This is more of a has this person actually put some thought into how they use subliminals type question)
I realize this would add quite a bit more work than just walling it off to Q store or Arch-Alchemists.
Restricted section forum section could also be implemented once this process is complete and there people can be a held to an even higher standard of posts to prevent misinformation on some of the more potent products.
This is just my 2 cents. (Been listening to a lot of star wars and Harry potter lately and the restricted section keeps coming up so probably where I got the inspiration)
Regardless, thank you for all your hard work. What you do here is truly transformational and I am loving the New Emperor and QL.
Death threats? Thats going out of hand.
Hope you (and FBI) will solve this one.
Thats creepy.
And, btw, this is actually the situation where resilience and ‘standing your ground’ is actually much needed.
This is very unfortunate I am very sorry to hear that
I did not think that it could lead to death threats, this is outrageous.
Just wanna point out one thing about restriction in the Q store. You said those people have to have some history to be able to buy this new Fire’s stuff. In that regard, I assume am quite safe, bought many customs to be honest it was even too much.
But for example well known user Hoppa, you know him by his wealth and success, and such, he did not buy any customs as far as my knowledge goes. And probably some long time users also did not use any customs.
But unfortunately have not got any idea how to solve it
Or maybe it can be restricted by the time how long a user is a member but it is not also bulletproof. But it could be that the person who created the user just a few days ago could not buy it.
Or another idea. I am not sure how legal this is. But many sites have a registration with the need to provide his or her ID. I know many people do not want to give this document but for safety reasons. You will at least have some documents you can start from if you wanna open legal actions against them.
And this will also have probably I am not sure how to say it but an intimidating effect and people would think twice before doing something bad.
Just thinking out loud.
I think the point of the Q-store solution is that all Q-Store purchases can be approved or rejected on the seller’s side. Approval wouldn’t likely be contingent on past Q-Store purchases. It would probably be based on a person’s past history of behavior.
In other words, gate-keeping is easier on the Q-store.
