Dann!!! You sound like me. Run EOG St 1. That will help with all of that
What if your purpose may lead to fame as you have to build an audience? This is why I decided to be a songwriter first over a performing artist but part of me wants to stand up and sing the songs in a band at live shows…
Have you any advice on this besides putting a marshmallow on my head lol?
I didn’t say these are my beliefs, I just tried to come up with some examples for conflicts that while we want something we have a bigger desire for our comfort zone and protection than adventure and living our dreams
These are good points.
Rhetorically speaking, is having fame as a specific goal rather than just being a bi-product of your gift to the world like money healthy?
‘One day, I’m going to be rich AND famous!’ Well, why? Are you trying to fill something?
I feel like some people just enjoy being the center of attention.
It’s not necessarily a bad thing or coming from drama. They just enjoy that.
I saw an interview with Mia Khalifa, she highly regrets ever making those porn clips. She said she did it back in the days because it gave her a lot of male attention she didn’t get when she was overweight as a young girl.
So basically, self esteem issues made her go for that.
THAT is bad.
Just having fun with people watching what you do? Not an issue imo.
Then again, most ppl are not detached enough from themselves to judge that objectively
Yeah have seen that video, it’s eye opening for sure.
It’s a big thing pushed in society now unfortunately, especially with all the young rap culture flaunting and most times pretending they have wealth for attention possibly.
My mistake.
Let the product be the focus rather than you as a person. In the music industry, think Enya. Notoriously private, does minimal interviews. Film industry, think Daniel Day Lewis, or Christopher Nolan.
Same thing we do. Refuse to become a “thought leader” or influencer. Whenever people try their accusations, they always fail because the focus is strictly on the product rather than my ideas as an individual. The ideas come from the community, or from recognizing a need of the customers by identifying patterns.
Speaking of film industry, if you could take a favorable look at my Ultimate Filmmaker proposal… I know, I know… shameless plug, but hey… I’d really love to see that sub in the store.
Or Chad Hugo of the Neptunes! As much as Pharrell is a social juggernaut and a media darling, Chad Hugo is still a mystery to most people.
Very helpful and appreciate your answer, thank you.
I did the 3 bottles & then took a break for 3 weeks and now using 1 bottle once a week until finished.
I love fame personally. Makes life 100x more fun.
If your a somebody you get first dibs in everything
But that’s just my view. Everyone’s different, with different priorities
Everything except privacy. And unvarnished candor from others.
My fantasy is: utter mastery combined with utter privacy.
Not isolation; just privacy.
Being enslaved neither to negative nor to positive reputation.
I’m just talking subjective fantasy here. I don’t think that I’m ‘right’ or anything. And I don’t think that fame automatically makes one a slave. I agree that it could be awesome.
For me, though, the fantasy is of Internal Attainment and Internal Awareness combined with External Normalcy. The ‘Snoopy’s Doghouse model’ of Lifestyle Evolution.
Fame and renown always just seem to me like incredible burdens.
Starting when I was about 17 or 18, I used to like to drive to the ocean in winter and just stand, completely alone, on the beach for a while, looking out to the horizon and looking up at the vastness above me.
There were a few times when that felt bleak or lonely; but most of the times it felt vast, numinous, and somehow very, very real.
Eventually, in that aloneness, I learned to better appreciate the connection that exists between me and all other people.
But there were also times of deeply enjoying the sensation that this experience, this moment, was just mine.
It was a fantasy; but it was one that I enjoyed at the time.
(I notice, on the other hand, that life often has a tendency to subvert such fantasies. So I won’t be surprised if the Cosmos says, ‘Okay, Malkuth. Time to learn detachment from some of those negative associations with fame.’
A more profound degree of mastery would be the capacity to maintain Internal Freedom even in the midst of External Fame.)
Wilson Fisk in Season 1 of the Netflix Daredevil series epitomized privacy for me.
His penthouse was owned by one of his many shell companies. Nothing in his own name.
Had a private elevator access I think.
I forget where, but I remember some show where a character’s apartment was even on its own “hidden” floor of the building they lived in.
Required a special access key to even get to it. There were no buttons for it.
I’d love that level of privacy.
That’s 99/100 experiences I can enjoy at a level regular folk cannot.
I’ll take that any day of the week.
Again that’s just me.
It comes down to your values and priorities.
In a perfect world as you mentioned, it would be nice to have both of course
Upvoted it.
haha. I think that Wealth could accomplish much of the same.
That’s the one I’m choosing first. High wealth, low fame.
The idea of being the world’s least famous very wealthy person makes my mouth water.
Yes, that’s true; that’s true.
And may we all get just enough of what we desire to enjoy it but not get sick of it.
I’m a fan of that idea of being famous only with those who matter. Like Mark Joyner is famous af in Internet Marketing circles. But outside that, his “fame” is less evident.
I’m REALLY fascinated by the idea of “Kingmakers”. Those with behind-the-scenes power of the kind that gets people elected to office, etc.
